Vietnam - A beautiful country
Hi friends,
How have you spent your weekend? It was very sunny all day so I just stayed at home and sleep... :)
As promised, this entry will bring you something about Vietnam, my country. Vietnam is the country with the "S" Shape in Asia. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam, the political, cultural center of the country. Besides, Ho Chi Minh City is the economics center of the country. There are some big cities such as Hanoi, Haiphong, Quangninh, Danang, Nhatrang, Cantho, Ho Chi Minh city...
There are many famous landscapes in Vietnam, some have been recognized by UNESCO and it makes tourism in Vietnam more and more develop. Hereunder are some pictures of Vietnam which I find from the Internet for you:
The first one is Hoan Kiem Lake, which is in the center of Hanoi. And our bank is located in one corner of Hoan Kiem Lake...

This is the place where I work - ANZ Vietnam, just beside the Hoan Kiem Lake

One famous landscape in the north is Halong Bay, which is recognized by UNESCO:

Another place you should go when you visit Vietnam is Sapa Town, which is a valley amoung the mountains with beautiful scene and wonderful climate. I have been to Sapa once and I like this place so much:

Those are some places in the North. Here comes some pictures of the Middle of Vietnam:
Hoi An - The old town

Hue - The city with old imperial palace:

Danang with Han Bridge (in the New Year celebration) - Danang is the economics, political and cultural center of the Middle Vietnam:

Nha Trang Beach- One of the most beautiful beach in Vietnam:

Dalat City - A little bit like Sapa, the city with great climate and romantic sceneries. In Vietnam, couples often go there for honeymoon. Dalat is the place of flowers, flowers from Dalat are exported to many countries.

Then we will go to the South of Vietnam with the picture of Ben Thanh Market - which locates in the center of Ho Chi Minh City:

This is the photograph of me taken last year during my business trip to HCM City

One of the very famous landscapes in the north is the Phu Quoc Island with beautiful beaches and resorts... A good address for your summer:

Well, there are still many good places for you to visit in Vietnam. But I hope that I just give you the overview of my beautiful country. Hope to welcome some of you to my country soon!
And now, good nite to you. A nice week is coming.
Cheers,
Ha

Hey!! How is it going? It was great to learn more about your country. And the pictures - now i'd love to visit your country even more than before. I have a question for you - is English very popular now in Vietnam? (i understand though that English is popular anyway but how well people know it)
Hi Ha! Your blog is so great. We're proud of being Vietnamese, right? But there is one point in your blog wrong. It's Phu Quoc Island in the South, not in the North. Regards!

Hi Ha, the pictures from Vietnam looked so beautiful and the scenes appeared to me very exotic, yet for you it must be just a every day life. That how it often is, our own surroundings we get so used to, that we don´t see the beauty there. Thank you for making an effort with the photos. I hope your birthday was a happy day.

Hello Ha, No one can deny the fact that Vietnam is a beautiful country. But how about people? Are they rich or poor? What about food? Besides rice and fish what are the other nutritious elements for the majority of people? What kind of meat, fruit and vegetables do you have? Are there any grains other than rice; I mean wheat, corn, barley, etc...Do people eat frogs, cats, dogs,...Do they eat insects such as locust, grasshopper, crock-roach, etc...Thank you in advance for your answer to my questions. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Hi Ha, I am from Ho chi Minh city(Saigon). I have no chance to visit Hanoi.Looking at the picture of Hoan Kiem lake, I wonder what kind the tree with red flowers is.it probably is Phuong vi or Phuong.it blossomes in the summer.
Nice photos Ha, it's a wonderful nation. I'm happy for you and all your people, because I remember the Vietnam's war watched by TV, the pain I felt watching aircraft, bombs, fires, soldiers and "napal". More and more time is passed, fortunately all has changed, and I'm happy for you. Love Sergio P.S. one photos is like "faraglioni di Capri" South Italy

hi nice places
Hi Ha, " Vietnam- A beautiful country " had made a strong impression on me. I'll spend my next year vacation in Hanoi & Sapa. I'm living in HoChiMinh city- one bigest economic centre in South of Vietnam - only has two season : sunny & rainy . Can you advise which season is the best for visiting Hanoi& Sapa ? Have you ever joined the organization as a voluntee ? if yes, can you share the experience that you got.
There is a lovely place, I should visit your country. It's nearly mine. But now I came to study English in London so if I go back to Bangkok, I will go there for sure. Have you ever been to Thailand? I can suggest you, if you wanna go. Good nite!
It's very nice place.I plan to travel Vietnam since last year as my friend went there before.I don't have time to visit there...If I be there as soon, please kindly guide me to travel,OK
yeah, it's really nice place, i will travel there one day...:D
I like it,it's a beautiful place.Because I like the national scenery, the white beach, the old city and the house like a castle.Though I really want to go there.I think I have no time now.But if I have a longer holiday I will go there. And I want to introduce you my city called Dalian. It's also a citywith nice scenery. Such as the BinHai Load,XingHai Square, the lively street and the sea.How is it????I think you should go there to see see.(^.^)
I wish I was a Vietnamese, I could imagine how beautiful it is because a couple days ago I watched Discovery Travel & Adventure channel. The host of the show (Antoni Bourdain)was traveling around the city of Ho Chi Minh(did I spelled it right?) He went to many places including the restaurants, when he arrived into one of the restaurant(which I forgot the name ^_^!)then the owner asked him "what kind of animal do you want to consume?" in his mind he was thinking of delicious, crispy and yummy snake meat. But then the servant served him a living Cobra and cut it's long body with a scissor and took out it's gall. Of course Antony was shocked after the servant told him to eat it, but he couldn't reject it since it was a live show. After that they make a deep fried snake bone, Crispy snake skin & it's blood for the drink. And not to forget one thing that I want to eat when I get to Vietnam one day..... it's traditional Vietnamese Rice. One thing that makes it special for me is that the way they make it... by throwing the rice cake from one servant to the other without even dropping it. If i was the one to make that rice, I would've spoil so much rice and get fire immedieatly. I think that's long enough for today's comment..... see ya!!
Hi Ha. I like your Pictures. I'm living in DaLat but I never thing It so Beautiful. I'm not good English.I like Travell every Place.
Chao Ha, I stumbled across this site & am so pleased I did. I spent 8 months in Viet Nam as a volunteerover the last 12 months. I returned to Australia only long enough to earn enough money to return to Viet Nam - I return this Saturday! I have fallen in love with Viet Nam & her people. I am trying to start up a small school for the deaf in Hoi An. I miss the people (& the food!) so much. Viet Nam has become my home & I am happiest when I am "home". Tam biet, Mai.
What a wonderfull Country! I hope that i will visit this country in future.
Thanks Ha for advertising VietNam landscapes
What beautiful places! I have't been to the north of Vietnam but I've already been to Hochiminh city and some other provinces in the sounth, they're really nice places & people are so friendly and helpful. I love my motherland very much & I'll be planning to go back there on holiday by the end of Jan. I hope i'll see you there, maybe in Hanoi or somewhere else in Vietnam. See ya! & Have a good day! :)

Are there any grains other than rice; I mean wheat, corn, barley, etc...Do people eat frogs, cats, dogs,...Do they eat insects such as locust, grasshopper, crock-roach, etc...''Vienam is developing country but Vietnamese people is not poor, they work very hard, they are very friendly, if u visit VN one time, u will know that i dont lie.In Ha Noi or another big cities, the living standar is so high, the are many blocks of flat, many buildings, many super market, game central, etc.eat dogs?yes, its dog meat, our traditionnal food, its very delicious, not an odd!eat cat? frog?never!eat insect? never!vietnam is famous for beauty spot like Ha said, and it is also famoust for traditional foods such as Cha ca (grilled chopped fish), Bun Ch(anoodles and grilled meat),square cat and round cake, etc.On thw whole, lets visit VietNam, you are welcome, iam a tour guideso if u visit Viet nam, i will help you discover my country, you will be absorbed in it!>__^
