Hello there,
Sharing my good days to people, and people share their bad days with me, are both important things to me.
I listened to English song ‘Love is Letting Go of Fear’ (Olivia Newton John)before I write blog, For English song can lead me into English-Speaking world.
Now, I am talking to you as I am staying in my virtual English-Speaking world.
May has 3 different days,5/1(Labor Day), 5/13(Mother Day) 、the day(James’s Birthday).
Yesterday was Wednesday, a working day, everything was just as usual. I wore a garb when I was on the courtroom(R1)
I would like to let you know my competition paragraph explaining why I want to be BBC English Learning new blogger. Paragraph is as below:
【What I would blog about if I won】:
1、 I am 51,being prosecutor for 16 years,married,2 kids, meet several people from different countries, haven’t study abroad, travel some countries, May is my birth month.
2、I would talk about my life, interesting, and etc. Briefly on the blog diary, more on comment reply though. More key issues than direct answers. Hopefully I could bring some ideas up and interact with others. Furthermore, everyone will be benefited if teacher bloger can correct or suggest the English of student bloger .
3、Preparing is the best thing before doing, so, earlier to notice who is the next month bloger is more better to enrich the activity. To set 4 subjects as 4 weeks to blog is not bad.
As the time I know I am selected to be the blogger of May( not MR. May):
1、I checked my competition paragraph, because, it is my promise to write, I got to recall any details I had written. After double check, I found some errors such as: ‘bloger’ (should be: “blogger’)、’prosecutor’(should be:’a prosecutor’).
2、I emailed Paul Scott to ask a couple of questions, Check something about Paul Scott.
3、I reread ‘House Rules’, read ‘editorial Guidelines’、' blogging on BBC Learning English Instruction’
4、Took some new photos of mine, found some old photos, emailed Paul Scott 10 photos which I chose that he could create a banner image for the blog.
5、Check UK(R2) time: DST(Daylight Saving Time) started on Sunday, March 25 at 1:00 AM local standard time, ends on Sunday, October 28, 2007 at 2:00 AM local daylight time. ¥¥ The time on May of 2007 is GMT+1 in UK and is GMT+8 in Taiwan.
6、My nephew Kelvin asked my wife:’Do I have paycheck as a blogger for one month?’, the answer is definitely negative, and my curiosity is: What is your judgement on this… question?
7、A blog is like an online diary, supposedly, I have to post 31 blogs, it’s really a heavy pressure on me. However, I am very pleased to be here. I got 2 p’s, “pressure” and “pleasure”.
Why I tell you this? I would like to share information with you. No matter how well or poor English you speak, everybody can be a competitor or a blogger.
Love always,
Sharing is a wonderful thing
James Zhih-Cheng Wu, Thursday
Ps: I would like to cast 3 parts of this blog, one is for Teacher (turn in my home work), another one is for comment(interaction), and for myself(main blog). So, everyone can surf what you want easily, skipping from any trash that you don't want.
Reference:
(R1) In Taiwan, prosecutor have to wear garb when they are on the courtroom or to interrogate the alleged suspecter. That because prosecutor in Taiwan has the same position with the Judge,For, Judge has to wear garb(not the same as Prosecutor's),so Prosecutor has,And the noun 'garb', I just learnt from Irine a couple minute ago(2007/5/3,8:15, Taiwan time) from her comment on my second blog (to be a blogger), mark it here as a collection of my memory.
(R2) Which is a proper way to call the nation and people of UK? ’UK’ or ’England’; ‘British’ or ‘English’ .
Note:

Hi James! Could you tell us how you become Luis host? How long has he been living in your home? I really curious about it. Best wishes, Ana Paula.
Hello,James I was a bit scared when I was reading your first letter.I've never met or got a letter from a prosecutor in my life,But I am so glad you look like a nomal human as if one of my friendly neighbours not a stone-faced beast.I've read your letters and enjoyed them very much.thank you for sharing your life with us and keep up the good work.hyoshil
Hi James, Sharing is a wonderful thing – that’s what we experience at the BBC site. We learn from each other both English and some other things, more important than just learning a new language. Sharing with people is like charging your batteries, you need it like the air you breath, but it takes ability to open, to listen, to ask a question, to talk, to learn a lesson – are we prepared for this? It’s a great idea ‘to share’, but it seems that our lives are too busy and we often lack energy or imagination to meet other people in a way that enrich us? I’ve been always wondering how a person like you cope with the ‘bad days’ people share with you, or with the burden of a great responsibility. You seem to know a lot about that – can you share it with us? All the best,
Hello James, Welcome you be a student this month which is your birthday. It is great for you . I am Fanny from Hong Kong nearing Taiwan. Thank you for your sharing which include your living, working and family etc. I feel interesting. Best Regards
Hi James! I want to aplologise shortly. Your first two blogs appeared in an unusual form on my screen which was hard to read for my eyes. But later in the evening, it was OK already. Maybe this made my PC, which was twice in the repair recently. What is more, I am even fewer familiar with using this device as with my English. Despite this, I like reading long blogs as always, in order to get to know interesting people, which is a wonderful thing for me!
Hello, here in france, may is a particular month because we have a lot of boxing days. And this year, labour day is on thursday, so a lot of people have their monday off, and also next monday. The 8th of may is the day of the end of the World War 2.We have also 2 days off for religious reasons. Dear All, have you realized that James is going to be the first person celebrating his birthday at the BBC site? Have you got any suggestions?
Hey man! Nice to see you today..... Well, i think we don't need to tell Ana Paula you might be writing something about me write?? Well Ana, I should antecipate myself.. hope you see it! I'm an Rotary exchange student, and James got to host me in order to help his young sister, Alice, whose child went abroad! Don't worry, there might be some article about exchange program! I've been a part of this family for the past 8 months... Bye bye
Haha, Ana, I just got an idea. Why don't we guess which day his birthday is and the winner can be the next student blogger? :)
