Weekend.
Dear Alex, and dear all,
How are you? I hope you are fine.
Oh Alex, it´s lovely the way you spend your free time, I´d like to be to South Bank. Just like you, I love coffee and books ( and of course, films is among them), actually I think they make a perfect partnership, though I´ve never read a book sit at a café beside a river. I close my eyes now, and I´m trying to image the sensation. Hmmm... Amazing. You are a lucky man.
You mentioned my poetic mood in your blog, in fact, I felt like this because yesterday I read an article about a new temporary exhibition released at Língua Portuguesa Museum ( Museu da Língua Portuguesa) inspired by Clarice Lispector works. I don´t know if you remember that I mentioned in one of my previous blogs that I adore her, she´s my favourite Brazilian writer, therefore my poetic mood was the reflex of my passion for her literature. So, you can image how happy I was when I read this news. And then, guess where I´m going to go in this weekend? I´m going to go to the Língua Portuguesa Museum!
The museum is settled at Luz Train/Subway Station, and once more I´m lucky for living in Mogi, because as you know in 25 minutes, I get there. Besides the Clarice Lispector exhibition, the multimidia museum tells the history of Portuguese origins, and how some languages, including English, influenced the origin of some Portuguese words. And at the top of the museum there is a place called "The Alley of the Words" ( Beco das Palavras), which has an incredible multimidia apresentation with some authors reading their texts while the words are projected on the floor. Moreover at the top of Língua Portuguesa Museum you have a dazzling view of Pinacoteca, which is in the other side of the street. So Adriana, if you intend to come to São Paolo on holiday, take two days: one just to visit the Pinacoteca, and another one to visit the Luz Station and the Língua Portuguesa Museum, you will love it! I promisse you. Oh... and on Saturdays it´s opens for free too, it´s really good, isn´t it?

And you? What are you going to do in this weekend?
Ah! I have a nasty task for doing, so... let´s go!
' The green colour of the grass becomes more vivid when "it" starts to rain.'
' Sometimes "it" is really good to find yourself alone.'
I hope that it´s correct.
A little note to Alinor from Brazil: I enjoyed a lot Batismo de Sangue ( Blood Baptism), Caio Blat is great! However I don´t read the book yet, my sister is reading it, and when she finishes to read the book, she´ll borrow me.
Thanks Paul for answering my question.
All the best, have a wonderful weekend,
Ana Paula.

Dear Ana Paula, I think I know that feeling of excitement as today I’m going to a meeting devoted to Darfur and my favorite writer – Ryszard Kapuscinski (he wrote a lot about your continent), who used to explore Africa as a reporter. He passed away a few months ago. There will be some presentations, discussions, and we’ll lit candles to commemorate Darfur victims. But actually I feel uncomfortable in such situations as I’m usually filled with remorse for not having done more. It’s a nice gesture of sympathy to lit a candle, but just a gesture. Ana Paula, I'll miss you and your blog. I really love the way you express yourself and apart form your brilliant English you are a good writer. Hope you write also in your own language. I’ll cross my fingers for your scholarship – you really deserve it! All the best Aninha,
Hi Aninha. Well, yesterday night I went to a children's party and then to another party for adults. Today, sunday, we were planning to go for rafting in the river in Domingos Martins, a beautiful germanic colony here. Unfortunately it was raining and it was cold, at least for me. It's been a long time since it has rained here. I don't know what people can do in rainy days but in the afternoon I'm going to my brother's house to play "ping-pong" and sing some musics with "videokê". You should see our performance, it's very funny! I've thought Spiderman 3 would be released this weekend but it will be on next wednesday. My son is a fan of this trilogy. Sometimes he mimics the spiderman here and he breaks some things. I've heard about this exhibition and it has immediately meminded me about you and your blog. Certainly I'll visit these places recomended by you. Yes. You are really very lucky. São Paulo has many cultural events. Therefore, it's not a surprise for me that you are so smart. Sometimes, it's hard to believe that you are not at the university yet due to your knowledge. That is the advantage of the big cities. When I lived in Rio de Janeiro, I had many oportunities to see good plays at the theater and it was common to see some celebrities in some places. Once I saw there a singer who is my idol. I'm not that kind of fan who jump and kiss, scream, cry or has a faint, on the contrary, I was too shy to ask him to give me an autograph, so I asked my nephew to do that for me. I don't know what he had said to him but the singer looked at me and he came close to me and said: "This is not for him. It's for you. Am I right?" And he gave me that valueble piece of papel signed by him. I almost had a faint like those girls. Perhaps, for people who live in the big cities, this is a ridiculous situation.
Hi..Ana Paula....... The Pinacoteca, the Luz Station and the Língua Portuguesa Museum where show the rich tradition are attracting many tourist to go there . I think these place are too big wonderful to go .These are both at night and at noon look wonderful places in aspect of warm history ,beautiful place ,marvellous languages. If I have an opportunity to take a trip at Mogi , I should go there at first as you tell . Thus I prefer to study history in another countrys as well as Thai culture . Actually, many histories in other countries are taught us in various points of view that I can learn and use in order to apply the situation in daily life like making a plan for doing something . Hmmm.. I wise you had finished task at following days so that you will tell an interesting story soon . Take care .. << Suphannafai S >> NB. I am curious about your experience in learning English . Please tell me !!!
Hi Ana Paula, I saw something about this exibition you mentioned. I found it very interesting, although I'm not very acquainted with Clarice Linspector's work, the design of the exhibition and the resources they used in it atracted me very much. I wish I could go to Sao Paulo to visit it. But unfortunately I live very far from there. And money is very limited as well as free time for a trip like this. Anyway, I hope you enjoy yourself there and have a nice time. Bye Bye. Best regards from your reader, Mauricio.
Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
