Places that you love.
Dear Alex, and dear all,
A soft breeze is refreshing the air, and a cosy and sweet jasmine smell surrounds my home, outside a storm begins to form in the sky, the silence inside the house is only interrupted by the thunder sound. The green colour of the grass become more vivid when starts to rain, showing a terrific scene.
I really enjoy afternoons like this, when after a long day of work, you just arrive at home and relax. Sometimes is really good find yourself alone and take some minutes only for you, don´t you think?
Do you have any place that you like to go when you have a day off work in order to spend some hours just relaxing and enjoying the day?
I have one, and this place is the São Paolo State Pinacoteca ( Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo). It´s a beautiful building neighbour of Luz Train/Subway Station, which is very good for me, because I just have to take a train in Mogi and in 25 minutes I arrive there. The Pinacoteca building itself is a master piece, and it has a incredible collection with well known artists such as Rodin, Almeida Jr, Di Cavalcanti, Cândido Portinari, Tarsila do Amaral, Miró, among others.
I love spending my Saturdays afternoons there, just seated in a bench admiring my favourite paints, or wandering around trying to capture any single different nuance in this beloved place. Everytime I go there, I always discover something different and delightful. Oh, of course I can´t forget to mention that attached to Pinacoteca building, there is a very charming café, which serves a marvelous coffe, therefore I like to sip mine in one of the tables set outside of the café, which has a view to Luz Park, simply wonderful. Moreover, on Saturdays the Pinacoteca opens for free, you don´t have to pay anything to visit this amazing place. It´s fantastic, isn´t it ?
So, if one day you decide to come to São Paolo, you must come to Pinacoteca, you won´t regret to visit there.
I tried to uploaded my photo at the Pinacoteca, however I´m afraid that it´s too heavy. What a pity, it´s a beautiful photo, indeed.

All the best,
Have a good night,
Ana Paula.

Well,it is a really a nice place to go.Is it a palace of ancient king i wonder?By the way, except the scenery, what is the most important part of it?Well,I think i am going on a long vacation in this golden season.Thank you for the pictures.Art!
Aninha, coincidently, I was talking yesterday with a friend about my plans to finally visit São Paulo on my hollidays in july. I'll take your advice seriously because I love museums. The best places for me to be alone is on the roof of a house, or the top of a tree in a forest, or the top of a mountain, or the top of a building (I like the tops!), or at the sand of the beach listening the sound of the waves of the sea. We are being poetic in this blog or it's a wrong feeling? Perhaps it's the tree in your picture. I love this tree. Sleep well, Aninha. Good night!
Dear Ana Paula! How lovely and sensitive sounds your blog about places that you love. I woke up today and while I was reading your lines and watching that peaceful photos I`ve just felt like being at that place and simultaneously there were running in my mind memories from Prague and from december`s visit to Vienna, the time when I`ve first started writing comments here. How delightful is reading that galeries are everywhere places with an incredible atmosphere. Ana Paula after reading your description I won`t probably learn today but to paint instead. My English will stay poor! Actually, I`ve prepared some thick paper`s cardboards last weekend/which means cutting them into various big pieces-sometimes through the carpet too- and coating them with basic white layer. Then, stayng in the kitchen,I try to bring the idea on this white area. Don`t afraid, these pieces surely won`t anybody scare off visiting galeries! Many happy memories to you!
Dear Ana Paula Yes, please keep blogging until the last day of April, Monday 30th April. Thanks paul

Hi Ana...Thanks for the advice...I didn´t know that it was free of charge at Saturdays... The funny thing...I work at CPTM, the railway company, so close to Luz station and i´ve never been there...I´ll definitely go there as son as i can... in addition, I´d like to give another tip to our São Paulo´s future visitors ...Especially the brazilian ones...Don´t forget to visit ours "Museu da lingua Portuguesa" - Portuguese language Museum. It´s located at Luz Station, really close from Pinacoteca...It´s amazing... See ya...
Ana Paula: A soft wind and a scent of jasmine sound perfect for me too. The difference being, that you have it, and I am still dreaming about it… the weather here in Finland is very much as it is at this time of the year. Not that jasmine perfume ever soothes us here at home, I enjoy it when I go for holidays, which will happen very soon again. As I may not have a change say bye to you on Monday, I wish you all the best in the future.
Dear Ana Paula, I felt like being there when I read your post. Very nice description. I even imagined the taste of the coffee at Pinacoteca cafe. I am from Kerala the, southernmost state of India. Our state is blessed with natural beauty comprising of greenery, backwaters and many other things. Boating it Kerala backwaters is a memorable experience for all. Usually I prefer boating on my off days. You can have a nice experience if you get a chance to visit kerala, generally known as God's Own Land.

Hi Ana Paula, While reading your blog you have made me think and It is hard to find a real place were I like to go to be with “myself”. Yes, of course at home I have some places where I can feel silent and surrounded with my thoughts : I have fitted a room in the attic not specially for my needs but I am the one who goes the most often there, somewhere in the garden, the wooden cottage also in the garden. I remember when I was teenager, in Spain, I liked spending hours with my guitar, a book, or simply listening to the nature somewhere in the woods at more or less ten kilometres from home. When I was a child I used to spend really almost every working day at least two hours in the public library of my town. I liked the silence, the smell of old books. Today from time to time I open an old book just to smell it and do come back these memories. Thanks for this nice blog.
