I agree with you!!!

Hi Alex, and hi my friends.

How are you today? I hope that you are all fine.

Alex, you are right! Let´s move on, we already had enough of this! Oh, by the way, there isn´t any brand new method of learning English called "Osmosis", it was a joke, and my sister doesn´t speak or write in English at all.

Thanks for answering my question about the period that you lived in Poland. It seems that you spent a great time there.

Today I have the wednesday night free, so after I finish to write my blog, I go to the movies. I intend to watch a Brazilian film called " Batismo de Sangue" (Blood Baptism). It´s based on real facts, and tells the story of four monks who decided to support the fight against the dictatorship in our country in 1963. They were persecuted, arrested and tortured, however they never gave up to see our nation free from the cruel totalitarian regime, and therefore, they became icons of this struggle. One of the monks, Tito, commited suicide because he couldn´t stand the memories of the days and nights of torture and horror, that haunted him untill he puts end in his own life. My sister, Rosana is studying monk´s Tito life in her social work course, so in order to memorise the subject ( which isn´t hard to her, because she´s very clever), she´s telling me the whole story of his life. In fact, I heard so much about the subject, that I´m eager to see the film, moreover the cast is very good, and the film has been well received by critics. However, I don´t trust in their opinion. I prefer to go to the movie and see the film, and only then take my own conclusions about it, than just follow what critics recommend. Sometimes, in one hand they say that the film is horrible, and in the other hand you watch it and think that the film is amazing, and vice-versa.

And you? Have you watched any interesting film recently? If so, please let me know.

Good bye,

Ana Paula.

Hi,Ana,it is a good way of relaxing yourself by watching a movie.Today including yesterday,I saw the incredible famous movie"The Godfather".Although i feel a bit tired after more that two hours sitting straight,it is worthy. No wonder how much "the Godfather" influented people."Never hate your enemy;Don't let anyone know what you are thinking",which are the classic epigrams from Michael Corleon, touching me beyond the word.Francio is a really amazing director in his time.Well,i hope i can read the book by Mario Puzo.Have a good day.

Reading your entry I recalled about Polish movie which memorialize similar sad events. The plot is also based on real facts. This is a story about prisest who decided to fight against the communist power. In that time (1945-89, and the movie describes 80') Poland was under foreign country control. The religion was prohibited and the mass resembled underground meeting. He was persecuted and tortured. Despite this fact Popiełuszko still struggled with authorities. Finally, they killed Him in 1984. The movie is very valuable. It may be a good history lesson and gorgeous lecture about timeless values such as faith, fight(in the name of the positive aim, I mean) and freedom. Best wishes;)

Hi Ana Paula, to be honest I Have not often been to the movies in recent years. We usually wach through DVD. whereas, I used to love to watch movies a lot at the cinemas. in recent years as most people I have been lazy . this is no good way to watch movies I know... notwithstanding, I have watched a few movies at the cinemas this days. They are about the military coup which imposed on 12 september 1980 in Turkiye. The military took over and Turkiye draft into dark .Turkey went through too painful period you can imagine. I'm also the one who experienced those hard, unbearable years... thousands of books were buried or set on fire... tens of thousands of innocent people were persecuted, arrested and tortured Worse still, lost their lives. That was a tragedy. people suffered a lot. after so many years; they have newly started to produce the movies related to those years. I've watched four movies involved military coup years, The one I liked best is called the international (beynelmilel) as I said, It´s based on real facts, which took place in our recent history, which I myself witnessed the film manuscript is built on "the black humor". this makes film ironic . the audience laughs grievous events. I like the way "the black humor" the movie follow. have a nice day best wishes

Although I am a bginner in English and I consider it the best source for learning English language, a globle language. Some times i find some dificulties but I am trying to enhance my peaking and writing skills. I think it is a good idea for those people who are really interested to learning English.

Did you like the film? This film was adapted from the report-book with the same name, written by Frei Betto, who was a religious mate of Tito in the Dominican convent of Perdizes in São Paulo. Have you ever read this book? Bye, bye.

Hi Aninha. I call you Aninha 'cause I have a friend at work with the same name as you and we all call her Aninha. I am waiting for the Spiderman 3 that will be released next weekend here. I'm in a rush today. It's time for the "Lion". If you are brazilian you know what I mean...all those papers we have to send to the accountant to pay tax to the government til the end of this month. I wish my money...snif...has a good destination. Bye

Hi Ana Paula! I unfortunately don't go to cinema to often, though in my town there's several complexes with all kind of entertaiment. I think it's like with you. You could lie on a beatyful beach but somehow you cannot find the way. As to me I descovered wonderful BBC internet side and spend quite much time on reading. I hope to understand so good English that in next year maybe, I'll order BBC prime. It sounds very optimistic, but the plans for the future should be ambitious. This could be really fun. I hope so. greetings

Dear Ana Paula, I’m not so passionate on cinema as Alfredo from the ‘Cinema Paradiso’ (have you seen that film – this one of my favorite ones), but still I can say that I’m film lover and one of the regulars attending Warsaw cinema named as ‘Kinoteka’, distributing so called ‘good films’ (can you imagine that the films in Kinoteka are projected even for ‘one-person’ audience!). Recently I saw ‘Ilusionst’ and really enjoyed it. Edward Norton is perfect as a magician (and very handsome indeed ) and Dick Pope’s way of taking pictures is TERRIFIC (the film is produced in sepia). I’ll say no more as I’m not sure if you have already seen it but just one general remark: I am really astounded that we need illusion like air we breath and we quite easily leave far behind our skepticism. Have a nice weekend,

What a nice place! It should be so good to spend some time admiring your favourite paints. Can you tell us what paints you like most? Best wishes.
