Do you dance?

Hi Alex, and hi everyone.

So, how was the concert? Did you enjoy it? Did you sing along your favourites songs? Hmmm I hope so.

As yesterday we talked about music, I think that today we can talk a little about something related to it, dance. Do you dance or do you know how to dance a especific style of music? Well, I have to admit that I´m a totally disaster dancing.
Ok, maybe my friends can read this blog, and then send a comment telling you that I´m a liar, that I can dance, however, don´t give any credit to them, because you know, they are my friends, and they like me.
I don´t know why, I think even Freud couldn´t explain the reason that I let they convince me that I had a great potencial as a dancer, and so I went to take some Brazilian dancing classes. Actually it was very funny, because when everybody turned right, I turned left, and when the instructor said: move your hips like this, now! ( in Brazilians dance, you have to move your hips a lot) I tryed to repeat the movements without any success. It seemed that my body was unable to make them, without I look like a rust robot. Learning to dance those rythms are quite hard, besides that I´m not a fan of Axe music, and I discovered that I wouldn´t be a new Ginger Rogers, I guess if she were alive nowadays, she would never danced Axe music. Then I decided to continue to move my body according to the song rythm, and of course, far, far away of the eyes of any human being. It´s beautiful to see people who can dance very well, though I´m not one of them.
And you? Have you ever taken dancing classes? Do you have any funny experience with dance, that you could share with us?

Leila asked me about my fauvorite cheese, it is the frescal cheese ( fresh cheese), which is round, white and low fat content, perfect to eat with fudge which here in Brazil is not like a toffee, it´s made of milk, sugar, sometimes there is butter in it, though the fudge is very creamy, and you can also use it for filling cakes.

Thanks to Alinor and Leila. I couldn´t find the word in Englsh for caqui, now I knew is persimmon, and I already wrote down in my notebook.

Good night, see you tomorrow,

Ana Paula.

Jampo,Ana,It means a "hi" from East Africa, which i learned from Teacher Steve.Well,i hope my spelling is correct(i am afraid not).I like ball-room dancing most of the time when i was on campus. Now,i turned into a fan of Rap music,so that i love to dance myself with it.It will be a lot of fun while you are drunk in your dancing.

Hi Ana Paula, When I open the blog and I see your nice smile my day starts in a good mood. You are probably sleeping now. I am preparing my comment in the train and in a few minutes I will arrive to my office and I will be able to post it. It is hard to believe that you are a disaster dancing. How a Brazilian could not be a good dancer? Don’t you have it in your genes? I am just kidding. A lot of people think that all the Spaniards dance the “flamenco”, play guitar, and are “toreadors”. To conclude from my side the fudge issue I am going to tell you that in fact I have eaten similar dessert in my native region : Catalonia. Where there is a dessert called “Mel i Mató” that consists in a kind of Ricotta cheese with honey. Have a nice day.

My dancing skills are not very good too. I tried once but it was a social suicide. Now, when disco folks see me coming, they all steps aside. Even my half-open shirt doesn’t help. This is why I prefer watching, especially I love watching Brazilian girls dancing suggestively. The sight of all these half-naked woman is a turn-on to me. It is really amazing experience.

Hi, Ana Paula. Don't worry if you aren't an extremely good dancer. Not everybody have to be a professional. People invented dance to make our lives happier. So, when you are dancing, everything you should do is to feel the music, its rhythm and move your body. And if, from time to time, you lose the rhythm for a while what does it matter? Such a nice girl like you will attract more attention than anybody else. Don't worry, be happy.

Hi Ana Paula! You are very positive and sunny girl. I read you blog every day. About dance. I danced when I was 10-13 years old, three years. Indeed i liked dancing but it was time to go to stage. I was one of the best dancer in my group, but my firat teacher gave birth to her second child and stoped to dance i was very sad. New teacher came but we didin't like each other. And I stoped dancing. Until now I like dancing and sometimes go to club or dance alone at home with radio or MTV.

Hi, Ana Paula! I must confess that dancing is my very cherished child dream. Of course I would not become very professional and would not devote my life to it but by all means I would make my dream come true. One of my friends from Nicaragua is really incredibly amazing dancer, after a short spontenous test he told me that my case was not completely hopeless and he has promised to teach me Latino-American dances. All the best!

hi, ana paula. I'm like you a very bad dancer. The most popular dance in France is waltz for elderly people. It's rare to see young people taking dance classes. When you are bad dancer, you can have a lot of fun with songs with silly choregraphia like "macarena", i don't know if you know this song, but it's very simple to dance once you know the moves.Another very famous is "dance of the ducks", you have to move like a duck, it's very funny. Bye, delphine

Hello Ana Paula! Dancing is one of my favorite hobbies. I love all kinds of dances, althouth I aren't a very good dancer ;). Anyway, maybe you aren't a good dancer but, you are a good blogger. My best wishes

Hi,Ana Paula! I like dancing very much myself, have liked it since childhood. Unfortunately, I am so engaged usually that I am hardly ever able to go to a club or disco, but when I am, I try to make the most of my time. I just enjoy music and moving and a good company and don't care too much whether I am a good dancer or not. Also some groupmates of mine have gone in for Latino recently, they say it's a great idea for keeping fit. I quite agree and is likely to join them.

Hi Ana Paula. I don't know when exactly I have learnt how to dance or if I had learnt it. I had classes for axe music once but it was for a great purpose. My friend had to loose weight He would had to undergo a surgery of the stomach and I went with him to the classes. Before moving the hips, it's necessary to make some changes in our mind. Latin dance has everything to do with our heart and mind. You have to forget there are people looking at you and let your body, completely free, expressing your happiness and love. Keep on improving it. It's good for many things not only health and mind.

Dear Ana, I have doubt. First you described fudge as a candy named Romeo and Julieta and now you said it's made with milk, butter and sugar. But isn't it made with a fruit and sugar?I don't know its name in English (goiaba). Bye.Eni

Hello Anna Paula , and hello everyone . Although iam not fan of music but i sometimes do especially when iam stressed out , but please don't get me wrong that's only the way iam. I also would like to appreciate your hard work and iam sure that you've improved your English a lot since you became the student of the blog, you see how lucky you are. And that's all .Bye for now and stay in touch with us please............

Hi Ana Paula and welcome at the Disaster Dancers Club!!! What a relief that I’m not the only one. I’m joking of course as this time I would rather give your friends credit – you will not cheat me! Anyway, you don’t have to be a good dancer to enjoy it – and that’s really wonderful. Psychotherapists working with autistic persons say that choreotherapy is one of the most effective ways to open those who have problem with expressing their emotions. Once, quite accidentally, I attended an intensive, one-day belly-dance course. It was really something special, so different from what I used to think about – I loved it though I was completely exhausted. When you dance it you feel so female .....

Hi...Ana Paula. An intrigue story of this day attracts me to express yourself in blog . I love to dance too. Dancing is a kind of relaxing activity whenever I have free time. I usually dance in the special time in aspect of travelling with friends in club, enjoying in festive time, or even taking time in private room for dancing . The songs that I normally open and sing a song besides sorts of dancing are in fields of hip hop, rock ,pop dance. And I do not know what their names but whenever I am listening and dancing that make me to forget a couple of time. It is Okey !!! As I am dancing, I have delight in releasing hormone endrophine that improve many parts of body can be a good function once again. Actually, I would like to talk to you about the first enjoying dance. For three years ago my friends and I had an opportunity to take a trip at Prasathin Pranumrung : ancient temple. It is far from Khonkaen where is my home . We began for this trip in an early morning . We did dancing all the time in the bus . It is really funny !!! By the way , there are also dancing in Thai culture no more than the western dancing .Do you have ever heard adout Thai dancing ? Never mind !!! Uniquely, in the tradition of Thai for many centuries is well-known when people dance in Song Kran festival or another Thai festival. We also spread lots of water and do dancing in all antique Thai songs. <<Cheers>>

Hello Ana,I realy enjoyed your blog about dancing...and I think that you dance very well, but you don't want to dance and it only seems. I'd like to suggest you to go to the club and enjoy with your friends and then you see then you will see if you like it... good luck...

You better learn dancing if you want it, I'd like to suggest you going to the club with your best friend who knows how to dance and relax in the club...it's not necessary to drink alcohol drinks, of course. It must be great fun, music in the club is diferent and you need to adapt. Good luck :)
