Poor Alex!
Hi Alex, and hi my virtual friends.
I think there´s some delay, because just today I could read your Friday´s blog.
So, how are you feeling? Are you better? Oh, I hope so. I suppose that you didn´t eat any chocolates. Did you?
Despite I´ve never had in my whole life a toothache, I do have a tip for vanishing toothache, but I guess that when you read this, you´ll already have gone to the dentist. However, if you want to try, just in case, here is the recipe: put on high heat some salty water with three little bunches or the pomegranate fruit itself, let boiling for 5 minutes, and then turn the heat off. Just wait until to reach the environment temperature. After that, wash your mouth with this solution. That´s it! My mom tryed it and she told me that the resulted was pretty good.
Among the blog´s readers, I think there is a dentist. Adriana you´re a dentist am I right? She´s the one Alex, that can give you the right tips about your toothache.
As soon as I´ve read your blog, I immediately started to work in the anagrams. Here is the answers:
2- resistance;
3- hydrogen;
4- analyst;
5- analysis;
6- button.
I hope that the words are correct now. I´ll be waiting for the correct answers.
Oh... talk about films is something that I really love it! My favourites are... hmm... this is hard to say, because there are many remarkable films! I love Hitch and Frank Capra´s films. I have a little collection of their films at home. I enjoy looking for Hitch in his films ( he always appears quickly in it). I like Rebecca, How to catch a thief, Dial M for murder, and so on. Well what I can say about Capra?... Oh, his films are so poetical, full of beautiful scenes, like in It´s a wonderful life ( the scene of James Stewart and Donna Reed on the phone) and Mr Deeds goes to the town ( Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur are at the restaurant, when he calls the musicians to play a song for her, so beautifu!). Have you ever watched one of them?
Of course that just like you, for me Star Wars and Darth Vader have a special place in my heart. This film is amazing! When I was a child, my dream was being a Jedi Knight! Even though, a woman couldn´t be a Jedi Knight, I did want it. Can you believe that?!
The films that you mentioned I´ve also watched and really enjoyed, especially Eternal Sunshine of Spotless Mind. Jim Carey is great, isn´t it? Now Zoolander... it´s silly, but I like Ben Stiller, he´s so funny [:) ].
By the way, I´d like that you make one thing clear to me. I´ve watched The Godfather, I know, Al Pacino and Marlon Brando are great, however, I never couldn´t understand why are men so addicted about this film? It seems that the film has, how I can say (write) that... a strange fascination among men. At least among my cousins it has this effect.
Nine in ten men if you ask about their favourite films will mention The Godfather. How come? Please, let me know, what is The Godfather secret?
Wow... I guess my today´s blog was too long. See you tomorrow.
Thanks for sending your comments, I really appreciated and I´ve read all of them.
Good night,
Ana Paula.

Wow,you are so clever that work those anagrams out.For me,It is so weird to have such exercise althouth it may be a good way to practice words. When i am looking a way out them,I just want to commit suicide.Actually,i feel very frustrated.I dont know all the movies you talk about but Jim Carey and Star War.I have no idea about who is Darth Vader.Oh,i feel miserable now,for i dont know what are they talking about ?Okay,Bye

Hi Ana Paula. Did you notice that Alex used a very grammatically interesting verb 'to frolic' (NOT 'to frolick' !). The verb is very interesting because there are only 2 verbs that add -king to the base form to make a gerund. The other one is politic. So we have 'frolic' - 'frolicking' and 'politic' - 'politicking'.
Hi, Ana paula It's such a pleasure to read your blog, you write very well and almost everyday.I don't go often to the cinema because i'm ofen disapointting, so I prefer wait and watch movies on TV, moreover, it's very expansive.Like you, I love Hitchcock's movies, he was a great master.My favorite was "Vertigo" because I didn't expected the end, the story of doubles.I like reading detective stories, especially those who take place in other centuries, like that you can learn how people live at this time. Bye, Delphine
Hello Ana Paula! Reading your blog today was a pleasure. You are kind-hearted, helpful person who is able to advise to our teacher and uplifting his mood. You are intrested in many subjects which describe very clearly for us. Your progress in writing is amazing because you are realy hard-working with strong self-discipline and cheerful too. Each teacher would be pleased to have such students. Oposit to you I have always big problem what to write about to my homework esseys. I have to admit that I took a holiday in learning during Oster, didn`t write a homework and painted pictures instead. It relieves my grumpy mood a bit because my new PC notebook was send to Prague to mend it! But, painting is something which absorb all my mental strenghts so I am not able to focus on other subjects (despite there were some very, very delightful news here as Soyoung`s comment and this secret about Stephen`s comming back!) Keep on your good work!
PROBLEMS POSTING COMMENTS? We are trying to work out why some of you are having problems posting comments (either here or on the Teacher's Blog). The next time you have a problem with this, please make a note of what happens. Let us know what the problem was as soon as you can comment again so that we can try and fix it!
Hi Ana Paula, you are very lucky because you've never had a toothache. I've had many. And I can tell, I don't wish it to my worst enemy. For me none of these recipies ever helped. The only efective thing I could do was to go to the dentist. Then he would open the tooth and made the pain go away. Then another pain on the dentist's chair. Are you afraid of the dentist? I guess nowadays they have better ways to prevent us from feeling pain on their chairs. But I'm still a bit afraid. Bye for now.
Hi, Ana Paula Reading the teacher's blog and yours, is the most pleasant way for me to keep in touch with English. Oh, by the way, I have to comment that your knowledge on movies and books is astonishig, I don't know many movies which you have commented about. So far, I am still curious about two things: one is what is your profession, and the other is about the movie "The Godfather", I have not heard about it yet. Thank you and Alex for being such nice people, shering your experiencies and blogging so regularly. All the best!
