32 degrees!!!!

Hello Alex and hello everyone.

I´m glad to hear that you have enjoyed the sunny weather. I´m melting! And I really would like to have this "cold weather" here. I thought I´d never say(write) this, but... I missing the autumn!!! I want to feel that freeze wind in my face and get my nose red because of the wind, anyway... nevermind!

In fact, I´m going to get a holiday for Easter, and I´m looking foward for it! I always spend Easter with my family (today I´m going to talk about them) and we never travel, once my mother is very catholic and she likes to follow the Easter Triduum cerimony. However I`m planning to go to the movies on Saturday ( I´m a huge films´ fan).
Brazil is the biggest Roman Catholic nation in the world, Then this week has a strong meaning among catholic people. We fasting all the week, and on Friday we don´t eat any meat, it´s time to reflection, it´s time to purify our soul and like this on Sunday rebirth with a brand new one.
I´m very interesting to know about the "weird" egg-rolling game, I wonder how this game is... anyway, tomorrow you´ll tell us.
On Holy Saturday we have here a weird traditional too, which most of the children love it, at least me, my sisters and cousins, when we were children loved it. I didn´t find the exactly meaning in English , but it´s somenthing like "Punch the Judas". It´s weird, but it´s really funny. Tomorrow I´ll tell you more details.

As we´re talking about holiday and you´re going to travel to visit your family, I´d like to talk about my family too. I live with my mother and two sisters, older than me ( which the ages I don´t reveal, even I was under torture, If I did, maybe tomorrow I won´t be here blogging with you!) [ :)]
My mum, Dirce is a homemaker, she´s the centre of our home. She´s a strong and kindhearted woman, and also is a very supportive mother. My dad passed away twelve years ago, so our home is a women´s home.
We share the household shores, so we don´t overload my mum, and also we don´t overload anybody.
Roseli, my elder sister is our guide tourist. She knows everywhere in Sao Paolo, and she loves to travel, especially to Rio de Janeiro. She studied law and works with consumer rights at a mobile phone company in Sao Paolo. We just see each other on weekends, due she arrives too late of her job, and I leave home early to work.
My other sister, Rosana, is sweet and kind, she´s always by my side when I need her. She´s a secretary at a dentist office, and recently she won a scholarship to the university! She´s studing social work, and she´s doing well. We are so proud of her! I hope I can also get a university scholarship. That is my dream!
What I like most is when we spend the Saturdays afternoons together, we´re sipping coffee or tea and talking about our lives. I really enjoy their company and I´m so glad that we get along very well.
And you? Do you have any particular day of the week to enjoy the company of your famly? If so, please let me know.

Oh Alex, in the end of your blog I could read something that I really liked to know .
No way! You´re kidding! Darth Vader is my hero too! We have to talk about it when could be possible.
Ah... about my job. I don´t work at a petrochemical industry. However chemestry is the soul of the business [ ;) ].

See you tomorrow. May the Force be with you.
Ana Paula.

Hello, Ana. You really did a great job for this blog. But still, I would like to know what the title(32 degrees) means? XD <br> Is it about school courses, young lady ?

Hi Ana Paula, I do agree that lower temperatures are taking too long to come. I can't stand this heat. But I hope it doesn't rain on the holidays. I don't have a special time to spend with my family, but that's a very nice idea. I remember when I was a boy that when we went out of power at night, that was the time everybody gathered together in the living room with no TV and nothing to do but to talk to each other, tell stories and things of a sort. Gee I miss those days. Nowadays with the rush of every day's life we hardly ever have the opportunity to have a nice easy conversation. I hope this can change. Best wishes.

Dear Ana Paula, reading your blog is kind of exciting for me. I believe I can learn more about Brazil from your coming descriptions.

Hello Ana, it is nice to learn about your family, your sweet mom and darling sisters. You are lucky having so nice sisters who loves you and care for you. Being younger in the family is quite an advantage, isn't it? I am also the youngest having a sister and brother elder to me. Both are very nice and very caring. Whenver I open the blog your teriffic smile makes me to smile too. Please tell us what are you doing and what are the most famous places and food in Brazil. Have a nice Easter gathering. Best wishes. Farida

Hi, Ana Paula. It was impossible to comment on your previous blog so I want to say now that you're right: your name is lovely, I would even say it's marvellous, and, I suppose, that's why loads of baby girls born at the end of the 1970´s were called Ana Paula. I'm sure you are a lovely girl too. Maybe your name has something to do with your personality. I'm looking forward to your next blog. Write and don't fear to make mistakes. I haven't read your todays blog yet. After having done it I write some words. Best wishes.

Due the technical problems our comments are a bit late. Ana Paula is a lovely name, thank you for your clarification about your name Ana Paula. You mentioned the global warming effect; it is a very serious threat for all of us. Global economy and competition has it´s drawbacks, but international commerce is here to stay. It is also fair to say, that worldwide trade opens enormous opportunities for so many people, but the large international trade organizations should take a very stern view saving the globe. The development work should be sustainable. Does the competitive business allow green thinking, is maybe the big question. I was shocked to notice another night on TV, how water was used as weight giving substance in cargo ships. The water was causing enormous hazards when it was transported from it´s own environment to a new one (water consisted a lot of living organ material). I was pleased to notice that Dart Vader had fans, he captives me also. It was interesting to hear about your Easter Ana Paula; best regards to your mother and sisters. My Easter will be spent mainly doing down hill skiing and other outdoor activities. Our weather is perfect for that, the temperature is –1 degrees C. I will be away for a week so until next time…

Hi Ana!!! How are you today? I hope the hot weather doesn't really melt you, eh? Here, in Thailand, the weather's degree is about 37 or 38 degrees! It's hot season now. :)

Nice to hear from you.Catholicism and Christianism are different i know.Do both share one God---Christ?I hear from other people who said Catholics priest cannot marry,is that right? So you are a policewoman, aren't you?Apparently you are extremely busy everyday.:)Wish you have a wonderful holiday.

Hi,Ana Hey,I finally got you.You might wonder why I am saying like this. When I saw your picture first time, read your name and blog I thought your name is very familar to me, and I realised you are one of very faithful regulars on this blog.I tried to write my comments to you but somehow I couldn't get through the student's comment page the other day. That's why I am late to say "HELLO" to you.It sounds I am trying to wind you up but I am really envious of the weather you have got now.The weather which I have is unpredictable and cold.Believe it or not, my house's radiator is running all the time even though it's April. I have two sisters like you but they are all younger than me.We used to work together and we were OK if we had a day off.however,we were arguing a lot because I was the boss and they had to do things what they were told.Sometimes they forgot I was in charge of the shop and treated me as an older sister not a business partner. Therefore, I pretended to be harsh on them from time to time. Now we are fantastic sisters each other and I always miss them very much.Thank you for reminding me of a good sistership and have a great the Easter holiday.hyoshil

First of all, congratulation on all you who is looking forward for Easter. Although I (and almost of people in my county) am a Buddhist, according to Paula say (write) I knew and imaged how is the Easter. That's a great, my opion of view is everyone reflects and purifies himsefl his. Weirdy traditional activities will take place in your country and all of people feel happy in that time. oh! I tell you about traditional anniversaries in my own country. There is the most important anniversary that is lunar New year's Day ( based on lunar calendar which is based on circle of the Earth around the Moon) called the Tết. The Tết season usually falls on either the second half of the first calendar month or the early days of the second calendar month of the year which is based on Western solar calendar. In New year's Eve, all of member in a family sees together and eats an informal dinner. In early time of the first day of the Tết, every people stay at their own home, then, grandparents make children a New year's Day present, and then, members of the family visit graves of forefather. In the second and the thirth, people come and see together. It is great, isn't it? I'd love the Tết. Do you know, for children, the Tết is wonderful because they will receive a lot of stuff from their parents or grandparents. I am looking forward to hearing! All wish! Hoi Pham

I tried to write a comment yesterday, but, there was a problem and i couldn't do it.Perhaps, i wasn't the only one in that case, because there is no comment on your's yesterday blog. For Easter, all the bakeries made chocolate animals, especially, hen and rabbits. After, parents hide these chocolate in the garden and tell to the children "bells are ringing" and the children run to the garden in order to find them.As you can see, our easter is very caloric. best wishes delphine

Hello Ana and everybody! The questions which are connected with the family are always very important. It’s very good that you have close relations with each members of your family and on holidays you gather around the table and talk. You know there is a saying: ”Families that eat together – stay together”. As for me it’s true. If we wanna have strong and happiness family, we should go by above-listed way. In our country, in particular my family, that’s also very important part of our relation and our life. It’s happen usually on Sunday or other holidays. To run a few steps forward want to congratulate you and everybody with Easter. We also celebrate this holyday and have many traditions. Of cause first of all we try to keep fast (Lent) which continues during seven weeks. Whole fast we should not eat any meat, dairy food. But main purpose is cleaning our soul and heart. Last week of fast is most strict. On the eve of Easter we go to church, consecrate Easter cakes and eggs. Instead of Hello after Easter (next day and week) we say each other: “Christ has arisen!” You wrote that Brazil is the biggest catholic nation in the world but are you agree that our strong is not in quantity but in quality? Even on Easter somebody go not to church but to movies:) I think we should change our mind. With best wishes Yuriy.

Hello,Ana Paula!I really enjoy your blog and your writing style, you're so nice!Though I've never been to Brazil,I love your country.Maybe it'll seem silly to you,but about 10 years ago brazilian soap operas were extremely popular in our country, and I used to like them, too :),not being myself a great soap operas' fan.Partly I liked them because of beautiful actors and actresses, partly because of their music, which seemed to me so brazilian :)Your compatriots appear to be very open-hearted,emotional,and with great taste for life.Besides, they heavenly play football :))Also I've read the book of Georgie Amadu "Dona Flor and her two husbands".Is he popular in Brazil?Have you read this book? Please, write more about your everyday life, what do you like to eat,how often do you go to the beach,do you like sports, etc.Have you ever been to famous Carnival?Does it take place only in Rio-de-Janeiro or in many cities?I would love to hear!Best wishes,Katya

Hi Ana Paula, You said you was a huge films´ fan. I would like to know what kind of films you like. How often do you go to the movies? What film are you going to see on Saturday? Changing the subject a little, if you got a university scholarship, what subject would you like to take? Best wishes.

Hello,..Today the weather in Thailand look so bad . I do not go outdoor in particular this day . Interestingly, the next days are my day off in order that I have much more time to take a rest after the whole busy week . I would like to go home .Resulting from now I stay at university and practical work at beer factory. In my house does not have a person who guard house and who clean my house .Thus ,instantly , I come back to meet my mother . I will have a dinner with my family and share about my experiences that I face as well. How are you today? I am looking forward to your blog. GOD BLESS YOU. Wisarut .

ur E is very good, easy to understand

In the UK we're celebrating Easter, which means that we won't be in the office on Friday or Monday! We hope you enjoy the blog over the next few days. We'll be back on Tuesday and publish your comments then!

34º here, Ana. Have a great Easter. Additionally, a great Easter for all readers and BBC team, including the teacher. If I sent a chocolate egg to you all, it would arrive there completly melted. Therefore, I suspect the factory ( I live very close to "Chocolates Garoto" factory)is not making good profits this holiday. People are not buying chocolate eggs as usual because the hot temperature. Any way, have a nice holiday. I'll say a little prayer for you. Until next week. Byyyyyyyyyye

Are you melting at 32 degree? We are here at 40 degree. We are boiling. i try to write more but my typing abilit desn't allow me. Next time will make it longer. Bye for now

Hi Ana Paula Good to read your blog. I found about this blog website by accident. Easter is one of my favorite holiday because it is about the days that Christians around the world remember and celebrate Holly Jessus's death and resuractions. Celebrating Easter day with family is fun and happy time. Do you believe in Jessus? Your English writing is good except that some mistakes just like mine.

hi family is really precious tangible thing to talk about its one of the most valuable terms in our life some people don't approciate the meaning of a bonded family maybe for bad experiences they had with them but i belive no matter wat comes from a family is all good its not only a supplier for knowlege in the early days but in the later days it become a responsiblity to look after . i mean when ur parents come old i think it the one's responsibilty to take care of them as a way to pay the dues. my family is so not united as my parents are divorced and i have one brother and two sisters and i always try to find a way to bring up us together. i love the cold breeze and the cup of hot tea when i am smoking a cigarette that one day i ill hopefully quit or loose my pasion for it , but i love that feeling of the chilliness and when u want to get under a blanket to get warmed up . in my country that is quite hot country as ur i love the winter it put me in a very meditative and spritual state that i cherish .its not about the temprature its all about the humidity that makes us feel the unbareble weather . any way cheer up aCid
