Hi Lidia, This is a familiar name to us Brazilian people cause there many Lidias round here. So I feel as if I were talking to a Brazilian!I'd like to welcome you to our community to which I'm a veteran( an old user). You are our second friend from Russia( since I started joining the blog) and it is nice to know more things about your country. From what I've been reading in the news recently, your country is thriving under Putin's administration. The Brazilian economists always mention your growth as a good example to be copied since our growth has been very slow. You said you deal with lots of foreigners, what do you do? Are you in the tourism business? And do you have to use English in your business? I also love travelling and I wish I could win the lottery just to travel around the world.Like you, I'm also fond of English and wish I could just wave that magic wand to make my learning process faster! As I'm not what we would call a gifted person I had to learn my English studying really hard!!Therefore, my humble advice to you is to be in contact with the language through books, magazines(reading helps a lot), films with no subtitles will do as well, and songs. The BBC site is also of great help. And it's nice to sniff out English blokes for you to talk to, although round here it's quite unusual. Well, I wish you good luck in your learning and sharing with us this month and I do feel you are on the right track cause the teachers in this blog are reeeeally great and we can learn a lot from them. Bye for now,

Welcome Lidia!!! I hope you have a great time in this blog, and I´m looking forward to hear from you. So, wow... you are from Russia! That´s nice! Actually one of my favorites writers came from Russia. I love it Dostoiesvski´s books. Do you like him? I hope soon hear about your culture, customs and how your life is in Moscow. Best wishes, Ana Paula.

Hello and welcome Lidia. I'd like to visit many cities in this World, but there are two that intrigues me: Moscow and Kiev, the ukrainian capital. Once I read a book which the name was: "Futebol e Guerra" that means "Football and War". It was a real story about the soccer players from Ukraine during the period of the war. It was a book that made me cry a lot but it was one of the most beautiful I have ever read. I know there are monuments of those soccer players in the Kiev's stadium. I'd like to see them. I would also like to know more about Russia history and visit Moscow's museums. I am looking forward to hear from you about everything in Moscow.

This is the first time i have visited the STUDENT BLOG at bbc. I hope i will be someday in your position-a student blogger. About your question: How to get the best result in E? i think there are 3 main features: First, learn E continuously, practice E as much as possible Second, listen to native people regularly - listen to BBC radio is a good way. Third, pay attention at the grammar.

Hi Lidia, It is also warm here in Japan, and warmer than usual. Do you know Russia is one of the nearest country from Japan? It is only few km from our coast, of course I know Moscow is far from here though. Anyway, I am looking forward to reading your blog. Please let me know about your life in Moscow more. best wishes,

And you are n't so much white like other Russian people !Any way , i wish you a very happy month with your very strict teacher (: . And you can use a word processor for avoiding spelling error . It is very useful . best wishes pary

Preved, Lida. It's nice to see another one Russian in the blog. (Especially such a pretty one.) It seems we're getting popular in BBC :) You asked for opinion - here it is. Try not to abuse with ellipsis. I can understand what You mean but I'm afraid lots of people, whose native language differs from ours and whose English is not good enough yet, will experience difficulties with understanding You. Step into their shoes. Anyway I wish You good luck in your blogging. Alex Mosky (the November's student blogger, You can check it out in the archive :) )

Privet Lidia , you've perfectly introduced yourself , and I think you now have a good opportunity to improve your English here in Blogs . but actually it seems to me your English is quite good ,of course I'm not an expert in English to say whether you are good at English langauge or not , mind you , I'm a lot like you and I need someone to tell me some advice to how I can get my English better , well I think the most important thing that to be relax when you talk to us as well as you talk to your real friends , may be we will be your virtual friends but in the end we are friends .

Welcome Lidia, and congratulations on your being chosen in the blog competition for March. I'm sure you'll do a great job and we are looking forward to hearing everything about your country and your experience with the English language. I'm sure we'll have a great and very useful time together. Bye for now.
