Lovely sunny day.

Hi everyone,

Today is my mum's birthday and I'd love to be overthere with her and celebrate with a big French cake.. Instead, I gave her a call this morning and she was really happy about it. As a surprise, my older sister showed up with her three lovely boys for lunch. Nice one! I wish I was there. I'd have played with them in the garden after lunch. It's great....They jump on me all the times, we do gym, football, we cuttle each other as well. To sum up, I'm juliette the aunty. I love it. I've got only the good side of them because three boys in a house can be a night mare for the parents sometimes. In my family, we are three sisters and my dad missed having boy, now he's got three and he's a great grand-father. He teaches them gardening, mountains climbing, skiing and DIY work. The older boy teaches him how to use video games.

Anyway, it's my mum birthday today and I wish her a lovely day.

Since I've been here, I haven't travelled that much in the country. Only twice. I should take advantages of being here but I found it hard to get organize when weeks are running so fast. I go back to my home town quite at least 4 times a year and when I'm in England, I try to visit London. There are so many things to visit here. I love when friends and family come and visit me because it's when I can also discover new part of London or actually revisit the same one all the time.

However, two weeks ago, a friend and I rent a car and went to the countryside, to the Cotswold. It is said to be the typical English countryside you would think of. It's true. It's lovely.
The weather was really terrible on Saturday but Sunday was sunny.
I really enjoyed being away from London. You don't realize until you're out of town how stressful it is.....
I've promise myself to do it more often.

But this week-end, I'll stay in London.

Juliette

Hi, Juliette! Happy birthday to your mother and the warmest wishes! It is a pity that you are not able to join your family at that special day but of course you will be with them in your thoughts. One of the hardest things for me while being abroad is that I cannot quite often share some so precious moments with my dearests. I do miss them a lot especially my grandmother who is a real miracle in my life. Have a nice day! With best wishes!

Hello Juliette! Reading your blog today I could see that you really enjoy being a aunt. I don´t have any nephew or niece, but I have little cousins and I enjoy it spend some time with them. It´s really good being around with our family, isn´t it? Oh... by the way I wish to your mother a happy birthday. Regards.

Hi Juliette, I also have three daughters and no boys. They are ten, seven, and four years old. I can understand your father’s feeling. Anyway, March 3rd is the girls’ festival called “hina-matsuri”. We displayed a set of ornamental dolls in our special room. These dolls are very beautiful. They would be happy to see that and have a fun at that festival. If I had boy I could raise a carp banner in the sky on boys’ day may 5th.

Happy birthday to your mother. I can understand what do you mean when you say "I wish I was here" becouse I am far from my mother too. But When we meet is always a party!! And It's great. Best wishes ant thank you for bloging!

Hello, Juliette! Happy birthday to your mum! What is your feeling about stressful life? Sometimes I wish I live in a stressful life, because I can learn a lot and experience a lot. It makes me feel good since I do not waste time. But on the other hand, I like to do whatever I want, no one push me, even myself. Because I believe the most important thing in my life is happiness. How complicated this feeling is! Can you understand it? Anyway, I am so glad to see how you balance the stressful life. Treaveling and leaving away from city, nice try! I will do it later. Have a nice day! From Helen

Hello Juliette, first of all Happy Birthday to your Mom and all the best wishes for the day. May God keep her happy and healthy and all her dreams come true. I understand how you miss her especially on this important day when you are away and cant do any thing. It is so nice of you that you gave a call to her and wish her she would be definitely very happy. I can also imagine how your dad feels in the company of your nephews. You know when grandchildren are borned the mom and dad both love them so much and are involved in them to the extent that their own children feel neglected. This is my personal experience. I like the way you write your blog and describe things in detail. You seems to be a very energetic, hard working and ambitious person who has set clear goals for her career. Keep it up but do take some rest from this stressful life and take timeout for sight seeing. Farida

Hello Juliette! Living abroad has pros and cons. One of the disadvantages it is that you cannot be together with your Mum on a unique day such as her Birthday. I can really understand you because my son’s birthday is today and my family cannot celebrate it together. The permanent readers know me because I was the student blogger in September and know that my daughter is studying in England. And the situation will be the same in May when she is celebrating her 20th birthday. But I have good news. We are going to England in April to visit her. I would rather tell you about the journey after it is over because I am a little superstitious. But, Juliette wrote a lot of things about London that there are so many things to visit and I become very excited. Even though I prefer the peace and quiet of the countryside to the hustle and bustle of the city, I would love to go sightseeing in London and see this Urban Jungle soon. Best wishes,

Hello Juliette, congratulations to your mother. What a good coincidence, today is my birthday too. What I like the most in this date is conincidence with the carnival. As you all know, here in Brazil the carnival "burns on fire" because the country stops to celebrate with so much fun. And I use this advantage to think that all the people are celebrating my birthday. It is a great party, the carnival and my birthday. And now you can consider the carnival is to celebrate your birthday's mother. What a good idea!! All the best, CF.

Hi Juliette, I couldn't comment in your current blogs but I have already read them. Thank you for your advices about diet. Children are the light of this World. My little son went to one city very far from here during the carnival and I went to another. Do you think I could stay there without him? I spent one day travelling to pick him up in my sister's house and brought him to the city where I was. Moreover, I felt more protected with a little spiderman by my side ( his fantasy). I like your blogs. Keep on writing and may I ask you to tell me more about your profession, please ?

Hello dear Juliette! I have to tell you the big news first! That are right three hours since I have got my own internet home.I can´t tell how happy I am. I´ve rushed to read your adventurous story and enjoyed it very much! I am fascinated about your courageous decission and hope to learn more about you and interesting life in London. I´ve enjoyed being aunt too but my nephewes are almost 20 /and helped me to start this thing/ so my joy now is learning English with this fantastic possibility to learn and comunicate with very best people.

Hello juliette, happy birthday for your mum. I'm sure your mum'll be happy about your good wishes. It's true in a big city life is really stressfull. I don't know where you lived in France but I'm nearly sure it's was more relaxing than London. Personally I find England just really different, interesting but really different than my other life in switzerland. A la prochaine++

HELLO,Juliette! At first my Best Wishes to your Mum!:) I thing it's really good when u have a big family! You can spend a lot of time with them, have a nice weekend, go into the countryside. I don't have any sisters or brothers, and now i'm very far from my Mum!I miss her! I can understand your feelings when you write " i wish i were there ". Because in 2 weeks it's Mothers Day and i wish you to be together with your Mum! What about London? - it's very noisy, thats why i prefer to live in such a beautiful city like Nottingham! Good luck!

hello Juliette,I agree with you because this possition is very sad.If you really like your family,of course you will feel that.I always wish like you.Because I have been far from my family too for 5 years. So this sitiation is very unhappy. If I were you,I would call your family and explain to them what I did all the day. After that your family won't worry about you.

Hi Juliette. My best wishes to your mum. I understand your feelings , because i`m in the same situation , being far from home is very hard. Especially when traditions and culture are not the same. In my country Azerbaijan people are closer to each other than here. The food is also very diferent we don`t use so many vegetables, we eat more meat, chicken, fish, rice, I love cooking. I don`t realy miss my country i just want my family to be close to me. My mother is my best friend . It`s very interesting for me to communicate with my mum . And if one of my friends will invite me to go out and my mum will have free time , i will choose my mum. I`ve also got a sister, niece and nephew. They have big difference in age , it`s 10 years. With my niece i can feel myself like an aunt, but with my nephew I feel like we are sister and brother there is only 4 years between us and that`s the reason why we are biting each other sometimes. So i have a big family and i `m happy.

Happy birthday to your mother.. what you wrote it's true the life with your family is warm and friendly. I'M NOW in England and i'm with my parenrs. i feel what you feel, l have two children and when l don't see them long time( it's just 5, 6 hours ) l realy miss them.. l hope you bought a nice gift for your mum ...

hi, Juliette! Best wishes to your mother~~.It's tough for a girl to be away from home, but living in London may be a compensation. I once stayed there for two weeks but it is too short to explore such a wonderful city. Take your time to enjoy your life there and hope a happy family reunion for you in the near future.
