Olá Lemlem! I think not you but we, should say "sorry", I mean, it's incredible how you do really find time to blog when you have so much important work to do as taking part in an AIDS prevention and control program. All we know how big is the AIDS' problem your country and all of Africa are facing. Congratulations for you and for NGO you work. Have a good day!
Dear It’s really nice to hear that you are working in the HIV-AIDA projects in Ethiopia. I would like to what kind of work actually you are working? Are you involving in the rehabilitation programme or giving treatment? Did you finish any training to work with the AIDS patients? How long have you been working this project? I am also a social worker. I am working in health project in southern parts of India. We are providing primary health care services for the rural community. The programmes are mother and child care, nutrition, elder care, health education, water and sanitation. We are concentrating on women and children. We are planning to start HIV- AIDS care also. I hope I can learn from you this month. Bye for now.
Hi Lemlem, How nice to hear that you are a health care professional of HIV and AIDS.Unfortuntely, Africa is known by its high rates of both HIV and AIDS. Why is it so? How do the people get infected, is it more through sexual intercourse or injection drug use? What do you actually do? What is the kind of technical support you give? I guess it must not be easy to make adolescents conscious of the risk they run, considering that at this age they believe they are invencible. I'm curious to hear your stories about your fight against this terrible virus. Cheerio, Monica
Happy to see you here again. You came back with an interesting issue. Why not spread information while we are learning english? I'm really interested in your project. I'd like you to mention the first mode of transmition, the second and third in your country. Unprotected sexual intercourse, inoculation with blood ( injury needlestick or injecting drug users, transfusion...) or mother to child( pregnancy, breast milk, birth process)? Which is the mainly group affected? And wich is the predicted figures for the future(related to infections and spread of the disease? Another doubt: If the HIV2 is less common than HIV1, the progression is longer and less efficient transmited, why they are mostly found in Africa? Which factors are facilitating the spread apart from the poverty that I am already aware? Regarding to treatment, do the people affected by the disease receive proper support from the government or from overseas?
all the best. take care

Remember once, the cell growed so slow, and I must go to lab to get them and continued the next experiment at 22:00. So tired! So hope your trip and work goes well! Take care! From Helen
