Last day of January, 2007

Dear stephen,
How’s today?
I’m still at the office. I just finished the work right now. I’m waiting for my colleague, not finished working. She’s going to stop it at 9PM because she’s almost exhausted. Maybe she has to come to the office earlier tomorrow.

I was surprised when I read the teacher blog today. I’m always very interested in the comments from the readers of the blog. You thought I didn’t concerned about it. It’s not ture. I always felt very warm and cheerful while I read the comments from all readers. It makes me feel better and encouraged. I love reading their comments. I didn’t express what I’m feeling frequently. But I hope everyone knows it’s very impressed.
I sometimes missed reading comments because I haven’t had enough time. It’s pity that I’m not a freelancer who can be concentrated on it. I occupied a formal job from 9AM to 6PM. I waste time almost 2hours on the street rush hour. But now I printed out the blog’s contents including reader’s comments, I bring it on my hands everyday.
I sometimes imagined that we gain all together if it’s possible. It’s a fantastic party because we just read each other’s comments and don’t know who look like. We all use different mother tongue and different culture and we only have a common that we love learning English on the BBC. I hope every readers like to see each other somewhere.

Today you wrote about different taps in the bathroom and you said it’s European style. I don’t think it’s European style. My uncle is a Korean ambassador of France, I stayed with his family when I visited Paris. His house doesn’t have separate taps. And also I visited Italy, there is no separate taps in the bathroom as well. Do you think it’s European style? I don’t think so.

I only hate one thing that is racism. I’m against racism. The world contains very different nations and each nation has their own culture and customs. I have to admit that I belong to different culture. If I don’t understand it I’m not a good person who is tolerated. I think it’s very important to understand other’s culture prior to justice. I may not understand other’s culture but I should tolerate any other’s thing in case I’m an educational person.

That is one of my dreams that I want to go to Lake Baikal someday. I saw the pictures of it when I was middle school girl. I shocked and very impressed. My friends didn’t know that huge lake. I was sad because I couldn’t talk about my dreams at that time. a friend knows about my dreams now. He also like to go there like me. I don’t know whether we go there together or not.

It’s very cold today as I told you yesterday. It’s not snowing yet. I want to see big snowing at the end of the winter.

Now I read the teacher’s blog today. You’re very kind teacher as I thought every time.

Take care,

Hello Soyoung!! What an inspiring name you have!!! So young!!! Well, as you can see, I'm a new comer to this blog. Despite being so novice I could feel the good vibe in the air between you, your teacher, Stephen, and the other bloggers. It's a pity that I've started from the last chapters of the "blog book"!! Anyway, as far as taps are concerned, I' afraid I have to agree with Stephen when he says that they are more European style. Here in Brazil we do not have these two taps in our houses, just at International Hotels. And I must confess that I find them so confusing, I always end up getting burned cause I never know how to differentiate between them. Now to avoid getting scorched I mix the water not inside the shower but outside and just when it's ready I jump in. Once bitten twice shy.By the way where is lake Baikal? Is it in China? One of my dream is to run a marathon on the Chinese wall. Love Monica

Hi Soyoung, is that the last time you are blogging here? January have finished very fast, time is flying! I´ll miss reading your nice texts about your country and everyday life! Best wishes!

Hello Soyoung, How are you doing girl? I would like to introduce myself. I am Phyo from Burma (Myanmar). It is nice to read about you and your country on this blog. You know? We (Myanmar people) are quite familiar with your culture as Korean movies are very popular in our country. "Jewell in The Palace" is the best TV episode that attracts most of our people's hearts. Lee Young Ae is my favorite actress. She is cute and can perform well to present the culture of Korean. Soyoung, please let me stop here. Have a good one to you. Sincerely, Phyo

Hello Soyoung. As I could see in your blog today you have indeed a tough routine. You spend lots of time to arrive at your job. Just like you, I have a tough routine. However I have the advantage that I live near my job. I only spend five minutes to get there, but once there I have lots of tasks to develop. Here is so hot and it´s raining all the time. I´ve never seen the snow. I wish one day I could see it. I guess that should be an amazing scene. Regards.

I agree with you Soyoung. Racism is a thing that should never exist. My country is multicultural and it's not common to see racism here as we are used to live with people from different countries. In this month there were a group of korean boys who were here in my city learning football( or soccer). They said to the journalist they didn't want to leave Brazil. They were very happy here. In general, we like very much to see people from other countries here and know their cultures because we rarely have much money to travel. Once I had a friend at school from Indonesia who was very nice. She was the centre of the students' attention. We are generally friendly people and the violence in the big cities is a shame for most of us.

I am new to this group and also new to blogging. I am not sure how I am going to dive into this new trend! I understand when I read that it is hard to take time to sit down and write the blogs. I wish we all see others as humans first. World is a big family where all are different but basically we are all the same.

Hello Lee, You have written a very nice blog today. I really appreciate your hard work that you put in writing and maintaining your blog. It is a serious job and not everybody can do it but you have done it girl. Especially, when you are working long hours in office, and your work also demands immediate response and concentration. In this scenario it is very difficult to write a blog every day, read the comments, and correct your mistakes. It gives me immense pleasure that you read our comments and take them so seriously. You are a nice beautiful girl Lee, and your introvert nature, shyness, and simplicity makes you more attractive. You are good at heart so you dont like racism nobody likes it. It was a great experience for me to read your blog and gave comments. Like you I also read readers comments on both your's and teacher's blog. You have done a wonderful job and keep it up. Your teacher is proud of you. I agree with you that he is one the best teacher, in addition to this he is an excellent writer and a very kind hearted man. He is also an introvert and has a good sense of humor but has defined lines and does not allow someone to cross these lines. Like you we all have dreams and I pray to God that your dream to visit to the Lake Baikal may come true. I am inviting you to Pakistan, be my guest,I would be more than happy to receive you in my country. Love and take care. Farida

Soyoung, that`s great. I saw in our Tv News that Koreans came skiing to the High Tatras. Will you come? (There`s needn`t to take shots and rest a body after gettig such aliens to!) But I would like to apologize. I didn`t read the notes. If I do read them in a future I`ll have learned a bit of that polite kind English behaviour sometime. They are so useful to me. I want to say you a truth that everybody at my family hates my loud voice. You don`t know if we can expect the Venus will be a comedy, do you? I like how many places have you been visited.

Hi Soyoung, It's good to read your blog. It's amazing how you always find time to write some words to us, since you work so hard and in such tight working hours. You don't have to explain anything to us. We appreciate very much your effort and your dedication. You can be sure we like your blog and you very much. See you.

Dear Soyung, thanks for sharing your life with us so generously. I think it was a great time for you though a bit challenging. I think that you are better than you think - please remember about that! All the best,

Goodbye Soyoung. If one day you across the oceans and reach Brazil, you already know just to see the number of comments from here that you are welcome. Kisses

Hi Soyoung, I like your blogers very much. Your ideas towards family are very good. There is nothing more valuable than sharing our lives. Even though, people keep secrets from their life partners. In fact, love is very powerful and it makes people to forget commitments.

Dear Soyoung! I have been reading all your blogs however; I am a little sad because I did not get any answer for my question about Kimchi. As a former blogger I can truly understand how difficult it is to be a blogger here sometimes but I think that all our efforts are worthwhile. I loved your pictures. I would like to wish you good luck in love. I hope you will find the man who will love you and you will be able to open your heart to him. I think that one thing is certain, having a family and being loved are the most gorgeous feelings we can ever have. Best wishes!
