Old friends

Hello, Stephen,
How are you today?
It’s steady cold, below 5 degrees. The weather in UK is quite changeable as you started writing your blog. However, it’s not changeable in here. We are in totally different weather. As you wrote about global warming problem, it’s not too cold as I’ve experienced terrible freezing weather.

I called a friend who named Haeng-ja, has been living in US since she’s married . She’s a dental technician. We know each other from a high school. We met 2-3 times per a week before I left for UK. She met her husband when I was in Manchester. I was glad to hear from her love but I felt quite sad. Because I was feeling I lost a good friend. She’s very friendly and caring. Even though we’re far from each other I like to talk to her more than others.
I like to see old friends. All of them are precious. They know about me better than my family.
I met two friends who named Kyung and Eun-mi. We finished the same elementary school. But we didn’t know about each other at that time. We started getting much friendly when we met at the church again. We worked for the Sunday school at the church as a teacher. After finished it, we got together for a bible study. We have different characters but our relationship is stronger than any.
We ate Dukboki at the restaurant. Dukboki doesn’t have any oil. It boiled with various vegetables and rice cake with red pepper sauce on the pot. It’s spicy.
We moved to TIRADENTES, a Brazilian café at the airport terminal station. I never have been there. It’s the first branch in Korea. We usually go to have coffee to STARBUCKS, Coffee Bean, Pascucci, Dunkin Donuts. The international brands are very popular place to meet. TIRADENTES is quite small and has nice smell and excellent quality. It’s quite packed inside like other places. The café is designed orange color the interior. It’s one of my favorite colors. Maybe I feel comfortable because of it.
We’ll be there again and it’s a new place to see us.
We don’t meet quite often because both are married. After marriage, their life style is changed. They cook dishes for the family and do the housework as a housewife even they are paid by a company.
Korean married woman manage to do the housework after get back home from work.
Of course, the husbands help them to share the housework but mostly it’s a woman’s job.

I spent a good time to talk about something we didn’t share for a long time.

What will you on weekend?
Have a good weekend.

I like to show a beautiful snowing day in Korea four years ago. I went to the hill with my mum to take pictures in the snow. It's not happend yet this year. I'm waiting for snowing.

Thanks for sharing your nice daily life. I agree with you, friends are precious people for our life. I often go to cafe with my friends on Friday after long workdays. This is an appropriate way to cheer up and relief stress. I liked your saying: My friends know me more than my family. I think ,it is true, we share our feelings, love relationships with our friends. I have seen many Korean TV drama, most of them showing same stories such as housewife chores, conflict in family relationships, heart broken because of rich and poor persons fall in love each other. Thus, I imagine Korean family life like this. Have a nice weekend.

Hello! Your pictures are great! I am sure You 'll have many friends i soon. Every new friend will get you something interesting... I didn't know about Dukboki anything, thanks for information Ukrainian married woman manage to do the housework after get back home from work too. Seldom the husbands help them to share the housework but mostly it’s a woman’s job. At the end I want to tell you that your english is very good

Howdy dear ? Thailand is a hot climate zone in Asia among many countrys such as LOAS ,JAPAN . And it is very hot that may be effect from the global warming. We have to save my World just like ,not to leave trash on the road , not to support the nuclear weapon ...I love the WOrld... Cherrio.

Hi! My name is Irina. I've read some articles from your blog. It's wonderful to read your thought obout your life. I'm a student. I learn English! Continue to write. It is great!

Hi, Soyoung! I´m surprised to know that there is a brazilian café in Korea. By the way, Tiradentes is a very famous character in Brazilian History, because he died fighting for our independence from Portugal. Do you know that here in São Paulo, where I live, there are many South Koreans? I studied with some of them at high school and university. Lots of them live in a neighbourhood called Bom Retiro.

Hello Soyoung! I was quite surprised in knowing that in Korea there´s a Tiradentes Café. Coffee is really an addiction for me. I stopped to drink coffee for ten years because of stomach problems. Now I´m better and start to drink it again. However I have to avoid abuse it. Have a nice weekend.

Hi,Soyoung.I'll not to ask you about anything anymore. It's all the same you don't answer to it.By the way, it's just very interesting for me.I mean, it's all my curiosity regarding to you as a person.I know you preaty well already(if you writing the truth), and I want to know more, & I think I will if you'll continue to write the blog. So, it's always happens with women when she get married. There is only two things that utterly changing the women's perception and habits. It is a merriage and born of the child. She get worring about another problem, that's all.OF COURSE IT'S A VERY SAD TO LOSE A CLOSE FRIEND. But time is going and friendship like before you 'll never have again.I really sorry about it, because I always have many friends and lost some of them myself. If you living far from each other it's impossible to save the real friendship (in your case it's US) . I'm not talking about nice relationships,it 's staying for a long time,of course.I think, U know what I wanted to tell you. O'k I'm not sleeping last night(I went to the night club at friday)( sleeping only 2,5 hours) so I 'm going to sleep. We have 1.00 p.m..good night.A.

hi, I surf on your blog to study English everyday.I am a chinese girl.can you speak CHINESE?Do you mind making friend with me?

Hello Soyoung, I’m waiting for winter, too. Now I don’t know is it still the fall or the spring, do you? Best wishes, Basia

Helo Soyong, I was glad to know you visited a cafe that serves brazilian like food, because it's my country. Did you have any typical dish there? If you did I'd like to know. If you have the opportunity, please mention it in your blog. I also agree with you about our old friends. They usually are very special. keep up the nice job you are doing with your blog. See you.

Hi Soyoung, I'm happy to know about this brazilian café named TIRADENTES. Tiradentes was an important personality in hour history. Although the Venezuela's president Hugo Chaves has changed our history a little bit when recently in the MERCOSUL meeting he praised Tiradents but said that Tiradents died as Jesus, crucified. Actually, he was hung. It seems that it's true that the colours can affect our mood. You like orange colour and for this reason, feel confortable at Tiradents Café. I like sunny days for this reason too. I like to see the green in sea ( or is it blue?) well...at least I'm sure the sky is blue. I like the colours like yellow, blue, green...and we see them a lot during summer season. Beautiful your photos of a snowing day. It's unbelieveble. Here is very very hot. Today it was almost impossible find parking place on the beach. I think it's the global warming problem mentioned by you. The ice-cream shop was completely crowded. I couldn't resist having an ice-cream and it's your fault, Soyoung ( you have been talking about this in your recent blogs). It's ok, I think I deserved it because I spent the saturday night with my sister at the hospital because she broke her arm and I was feeling so bad because my naughty kid caused the accident with his spontaneous and impetuous moviments. Could you please suggest a mother handbook for me, Soyoung? Is there any one in Korea? I think I should use a screening device or something like that to protect myself. Don't you think so?

hello soyoung, nice to see your blog again.i really interested to know about korean traditional food.may be you can write it down on your blog for the post after this,if u like too.is it the dukboki you just mentioned is one of korean traditional food.in my mind i think its like a sushi or what?
