My own happiness

Dear Stephen,
I’m appreciated your kind comments on my blog since we started. It’s very good for me because I feel encouraged

I can’t wait for tomorrow because I’m exhausted at work. Friday is coming but tomorrow is another horrible day for works. I’m desperately facing a difficult situation that my manager wanted me to perform more works. What a pity.

I change my concern to the blog from my works. I feel better soon. I know BBC English learners are waiting for update of my blog.

Now I make a list of my emotions as below.
The things make me happy.

1)Eating delicious ice cream. I love Hagaan-Dazs. It’s really sweet and delicious. Especially I want to eat ice cream when I feel lonely. I ate ice cream after finished the works last week and then I felt stomach problem soon. It’s a bad experience though. But I love eating them mostly.

2)Watching video or DVD at home. It’s better to see the movies at the cinema but for me, sometimes it’s much comfortable. Because I don’t need to get dressed.

3)Writing e-mails to old friends. Most of my friends are married and some of them live abroad. The best one lives in US and another one is in Japan. I called them sometimes and wrote an e-mail to them frequently. While I’m reading e-mail from a friend I’m feeling like she’s with me. I began to write e-mail to an English friend. I haven't seen him since I left for Seoul. He's real mancunian. I could hardly understand what he said at first. He's patience and nice because he spoke cleary. My English is not good but he tried to understand me and helped me to cheer up for learning English. Now he's looking for a job since graduated university.

4)Drinking wine with my family. I rarely drink with my mum because she didn’t like to drink alcohol. She only drinks alcohol at New year day and Christmas like special day. For me, I drank three times per a week when I was twenties. I sometimes behaved stupidly. We talked about the family’s stuffs while we’re drinking. She showed me her feeling loyal and dedicated for my family.

5)Buying clothes and brand new items. Of course, It’s woman’s favorite. If I had a lot of money, I would buy everything what I want to. It’s everyone’s hope. But I know, I have to save money first than buy something what I want. I made a
shopping list and the maximum limit of money before go on a shopping. I prefer buying expensive one to cheaper several clothes. My sister is different. She only bought expensive one with big money. I fancy expensive things but I know, I have to keep the maximum limit.

6)Reading comments on my blog. It's instant things happend in my life. I haven't experienced that global friends even we haven't seen ever, posted their comments after read my story. You don't know how I nice surprised.

Stephen, Thank you so much for giving me a tip to write.

Now it's your turn. Tell me what makes you happy.

Have a good time!!

Comments

Dear all We have had a couple of questions about the comments section and here are some answers. All comments have to be checked by the BBC before they can appear on the site. So when you send a comment it won't immediately appear here. This stops people or companies sending hundreds of spam messages that are not connected with the blogs. And that makes this area easier to read. We check the comments area at least once a day (Monday to Friday) and publish all of your comments if they stay within the house rules. If you can't see your comment it may be because we haven't got it yet (some days the comments take longer to get to us than other days) or because we have already published comments that day. Thanks BBC Learning English

Hi.. Soyoung Lee. When I am so grumpy usually after laboratory, lecture . The best ways that I use for reduce tension are..... At almost everyday after laboratory I go for running , walking ,weight training in my campus .My friends and I usually make an appointment to go at plastic pond or Seetan road for jogging . Do you need to know ? How place I like to jogging is called plastic pond. The answer is that in the bottom of pond , it cover with plastic . At first I never know about pond . My lecturer , DR. Pakavadee, in class Waste water treatment at the last semester told me about plastic pond. Along my campus have many gardens . It is such natual .Even if the large amount of people reside in my university too much , I am quite happy . Then I take times for revise my lecture about two hour per day or doing laboratory reports ; that my friends chare with me . Around 8:00 PM . I come again at complex as a big canteen . To acess the Internet is another way to cut down on my stress. The student blog that I am frequency read and write make me happy and indulgent . The varity of interesting storys are my favourite series . Now I am a junior in department of biotechnology . Of course. I would like to tell you about my carrer plain. After I graduated at Khonkaen university, I may be make a Tofel test. It strikes to me that this examination is very difficut for me in term of the second language . So In almost everyday I effort to practice my English . For instance reading ,writing ,listening and speaking. I try to get the score of Tofel about 550 points to sent at Mahidol University in field of Biotechnology in environment . I really love it. Hello Soyoung!!! Waching movies at home is delicious!!! Off course, go to the movie is much better. But I totally agree with you, sometimes I feel lazy to get dressed to go out too. Stay at home listen to a pleseant music and read a gripping book is something that makes me happy too. Thanks to share your life with us. I really enjoy to read your blog. Regards.

Hi Soyoung. I like very much to read your blog. Keep on writing. I'd like to comment on the number 3 of your list of things you like to do. I've recently had a great experience searching and finding friends I hadn't seen for a long time. I've already e-mailed them, but I still haven't got any answers, but I hope to receive some soon. I'm very excited with the possibility of getting in touch with them again. So I thoroughly agree with you when you say e-mailing friends is one of the things you enjoy doing. Soyoung, keep on writing it's very good to read about you. See you. Bye

Dear Soyoung, walking and having a delcious ice-cream in a sunny day at the beach can make anyone happy but not more than reading your blogs. I hope your sister is getting better. You told us that she had to return to the hospital. Soyoung, how is the health care system there? Moreover, you told us about the programs on tv and what about the press? Is it completely free there or is there any censure? I'd like to know which sports are prefered by korean people...if it's not too much questions to you.

Hello Lee, every working soul is looking forward towards the weekend. I understand your concern about your manger's comments on your work. It is quite normal that your concentration on work has been diverted towards maintaining your blog. Time constraint with heavy workload is getting on your nerves. Please dont panic. It happens with all of us. Just set your priorities or better make a list what is more important should be on the top then start doing it one by one within giving time period. Cheer up girl you have made lot of friends on the blog and some are fallen in love with U. Stephen is also praising U for your efforts. However, this is between U and me that he seems a little bit annoyed by the bad weather. What are U up to? Have a nice relaxing weekend. Take care. Farida

Hi Soyoung’ Like every other women you are also interested to buy cloths as much as you want in a cheaper rate. Not like your sister, you restrict yourself within a limit. It is good on control spending money. Luckily you are not crazy for jewels. Do you like to get valuable ornaments like gold or diamonds? I hope you might have listened the programme of ‘London life’ under the title of Indian jewelery in the BBC learning English a month back. In my country women, particularly the middle class are very much fond of jewels. They save the money through their earnings and buy it what ever new designs available in the market. It shows their dignity in the society. We all should develop the habit of saving money. Without having enough money how could we spend our life happily? In the religion point of view if we want to gain, we must loose everything. Is it true? Is it possible

hai, im student from malaysia.this is my first time go to the bbc learning english website and found your blog.my english not good enough to write in blog. i like your writing coz very easy to understand.i hope one day i can write a blog like you.

Dear Soyoung! Your happiness consists of usual things and usual joys. Congartulations! You are a down-to-earth person. I like your attitude to the life. You don't look for things from heaven. It is nice you have a clear idea what makes you happy.Unfortunately,I don't have.May be I should answer the question to my myself.Have a good rest during the weekend and use it for 'usual' joys in order to be happy! Diema

Hi,Soyoung! I desided to write U more frequently.I agree with U about ice-cream and DVD.It's really usefull and nice things make us happy. A few days before our girl(model from Belarus) took the second place in Supermodel of the world (Agency Ford Models) in NY.Maybe U heard something 'bout this competition? So, I want to ask, what for you beauty is?I mean, what beauty more important. Do you agree with Chekhov( famous russian writer) when he said that "Everything must be beautiful in a person- face, clothing, spirit and mind"? Maybe U adore of nature's beauty? And one more question, Do you see the difference beetwen man's and women's beauty?O'k, thank U for U'r blog.By.From A.
