About my job

Hello, my friends,
How’re you today?

Stephen, you don’t feel sorry about my emotion of your correction because it’s your job and responsible for everyone who is studying in English on BBC.
I’m immature that I couldn’t control my feeling about your good reconstruction. I have to admit that I’m not fully prepared to accept other’s opinions. I have to turn to positive mind right now. I know, your rewriting of my story should be required because I’m learner. You’re very kind adviser, help me to improve and extend English skills.
Thank you very much for your patience.

I was very busy at work until 4 PM. Now it’s much convenience to breathe and handle my job. I’ve just finished a meeting with a co-company. Sometimes it’s another work load that to have a meeting with others because it’s an unusual job after I made a plan for a workday. Now our company’s e-mail is not working properly because of the earthquake in Taiwan. It will be taken to fix working smoothly almost 3 weeks. I’m not comfortable to communicate with e-mails to overseas colleagues because it’s hardly reached. From last two weeks ago, I have to use my personal e-mail to send enquiries and instruction to them. It’s quite annoyed because they only knew my official e-mail address communicated at work, all that is not delivered to me on time, I have to resend it through personal e-mail. Clients also quite upset about late action or instruction from us. it’s not only our company’s hard situation but also all international company, especially main computer server is placed at Hong Kong, cannot work convenience.
I’m busy to make RFQ (Request For Question) from last week that customers requested us to offer lower rate than others and compared them with competitor’s quotations. When we provide attractive rates to each destination to them, the customers consider using our service for their shipments. I need to check much lower and competitive rates with several carriers and try to reduce to the customer’s satisfaction. It’s important to keep a good relationship with carrier’s person in charge of my company who gives me the freight. Because they also have several requests from other forwarders on the same issues that customers are participating RFQ to designated forwarders chosen by them.
If I have a good relationship with carriers, I can try to cut down the rates to my purpose. But it’s not quite often because carriers also have to keep their guide line. Is it complicated? Of course, the bidding makes me to get heavy workloads. After finished presenting RFQ, another things are waiting to me.
Are you satisfied with your job? What kind of jobs do you have?
Stephen, I love listening to music. I like all kind of music, especially rock music. I’m a big fan for Queen, Sting, Eminem, Alicia Keys and Britney. I certainly say it’s one of precious things that I bought many CDs of my favorite stars. When I was school girl, my brother played the guitar and loved listening to music more than studying hard. He listened to heavy metal music after finished class and then he changed his hair style as a rocker. Is it funny? My parents judged him because of naughty. My dad desperately brought up him until he was twenties. Now, he’s got married with his co-worker who is warm hearted and charming, and works for an IT company. He’s not played the guitar any more but he has another hobby that he likes to collect audio and very good sounded speakers. You know, it’s very expensive things to buy as a salary man. He’s addicted to buying that things as like you can’t stop drinking coffee in the morning.
My sister in law is pregrant. She's going to get birth to the baby next month. I'm expecting to have 5th cousin.
I’m addicted that I cannot stop watching American TV series, 24, CSI.

My brother and his wife in Bali.

I went to Sting’s big concert in Manchester. He performed fantastic and heartbreaking stage. I was falling in love with his song while he’s singing. My seat was 5th line from stage. I could see him very closely. My favorite songs by Sting are Every breath you take by the Police, Shape of my heart, All for one, English man in New York. Who is your favorite singer?

My mom is coming tomorrow. I no longer work for the house and cook for my dad. I’m happy to escape from all the housework.

Enjoy yourself, everyone!!

In the competitive world, those who are in marketing line should consider to fulfill the customers need as quickly as possible. Otherwise they will jump over to other person. Soyoung, you are capable of a satisfying customers need. With out them our business will be more. I was wondering how you could post your long blog with delay with you tight schedule in the whole day. I think now you understand the expectation of Stephen from you. Any good teacher always expects more from the intelligent student. That’s why Stephen asked you to trouble him more. Your brother hobby is collecting CD’s and good music system. Why do you worry about that? He is interested on that let him do that. You are expecting your mother eagerly. You will be from your house hold work sometimes. Enjoy yourself. Hope we will also receive much more information from you in the coming days. bye

You told us that you like rock music. Music always helps me in my learning. I try to sing ( I am not a good singer), and like this, I improve my pronunciation and have lots of fun. I love books. Now I try to read the majority of my books in English. I read books with audio, and when I can not get them with the audio, I buy books in English those are adapted for screen, this way I can understand the story and learning new words. Regards.

Hello Soyoung! Your English is much in a progress now. I understand better your hard days at work. I´ll read the blog until one witty person from India win the competition! I am bursting to laugh home when I remember some sentences (and into tears about my bad mistakes). My nephew, Peter, needs help with his English for `B´-level (as I see it now). He prefered to ask my young lady teacher. On yesterday´s lesson I translated The Teacer "From Winesburg Ohio" (Sherwood Anderson). She was afraid that I could take her next job. Can you believe that? Nice day for everyone!

Hi to all my dear friends ! It seems that we have another discussion group . I know some of Blog readers from their Blogs . Such as Hyoshil , Deima , Lincoln , Paulraj , Ana , Isabela and … . It seems that we ( readers ) are free to put our Blogs as commentators !. Thanks to BBC team to be kind with us by this way . I hope all of you be familiar with me from my last posted Blogs . I hope all of we some day have chance to be student Bloger with good teachers from BBC . But seems by now we must satisfied with our comments . Maby it be a good idea to have English Blogs in other web sights with our Internet names until we have chance to be student Bloger at BBC . This month I 'm be a little busy and I haven't post more comments , but I 've read all Blogs and comments every day . It seems Paulraj be this month most active reader . Congratulation to all of Blog readers of be so active and loyal By for now !

It 's me again but this time specially for Soyoung : Hi dear Soyoung ! How are you today ? I hope every thing from your work be Ok . It seems you are a real hero in your work . Your company 's incomes depends on how well you are in your communication with clients and also with carriers. Your sister in law looks very beautiful and nice .I wish your brother and his wife good luck and healthy 2007 with their new baby . By the way it's a big shame because I don’t know what is called " heavy metal music " , it will be pleasure if you say what are they ? We all can't stand for your news from Beijing and your mother 's travel . I don't know very much about singers that you mentioned in your last Blog .But if some day I have enough time I will search for their names in the Internet .It seems that our blog service is a real good idea for being up to date specially for me . I know some of American's more popular singers from 1980 from my father 's old tapes . I take care of them to be safe . How ever it is a bit hard because of space problems in my flat . At the end I wish you best . Bye bye

It is very interesting to read your blogs as you were mentioned about music, movie, trekking etc. I don’t know much about western music as I hardly listen to western music, and less aware of western music though I listen to some of symphony music composed by Mozart and Beethoven. Mostly I would like to listen to Indian music especially south Indian music composed by Illayaraja, who is very famous composer in south India and he is the first Asian who composed symphony music. Every day I listen to his music that too while working at office. Personally, I feel his melodies bring peace to my mind. Since in my job I have to give more work to brain, it would be great relief while listening to music. I’m posting here some of the music which may make to prevail calm around Wonderful rendition in flute http://esnips.com/doc/385d5569-13f8-471c-b76b-f83192a8df78/DO_ANYTHING_SMK Humming, http://esnips.com/doc/f582957d-61ee-48e3-9075-6f090136d42c/Theme-music http://esnips.com/doc/cc2af80b-8c8e-4a3b-869b-ad588920d5b5/Impatiently-waiting
