Cats and Dogs

Don't panic!!! It's just raining. It is like Bangkokers' game of this month to guess whether it will rain in the evening.Although I was supposed to get used to this kind of weather since I have been to England, I always looked out from the windows to check the colour of the sky every hours. I know it rains almost everyday in the UK. Briton might not be able to identify which months are their rainy season. They usually walk along the street among the bloody rain, like they don't care if they get wet or probably they might think it is just another normal day. If you could reach my mind at the moment, you would see the picture in my heads. People in the blacks are keeping on walking even it has started raining for a while. Oh! I must add that they all look good in black, like no other countries could (it's my opinion, I'm sorry if you don't agree with me or feel irritated). But In my country, this is absolutely different,at least we don't look cool in blacks ;p. Rain has killed people, destroyed many houses and made someone homeless in Thailand. If you will give the definition of British rain as shower, I must say mine are waterfalls, heavy and powerful.Since it rained yesterday evening, there was a little of flood, occured in the front of my company. When I finished working , I couldn't imagine how high the water was.
It was horrible when I found that the level was too high to walk. It was about the height of wheel. I saw many people who just got out of their office decided to wait inside their buildings, but it wasn't me. I thought if I waited until the level of water decreases, I was probably not be able to get home beore 10.00 pm. I'm not joking if you live in Thailand, you will know that it is true. You might stuck in he middle of nowhere. I mean you will face the terrible traffic jam when it rains. So I decided to walk, didn't be afriad of anything, even Mr. Peter :p. I must give my apologise again for someone whose name is Peter. As me and my friends gave this name for the other definition of cockroch. That's right,Mr. Peter came with the flood Argh!!! T_T. While I was flighting with Mr. Peter who came around to say hi, I kept thinking I would renovate the roads in Thailand, if I were the government. I also reckoned that it's the civil engineer's department. I felt a bit ashamed that I had no chance to do it.

By the way, As I told you in the lastest part that I got a job at a real estate company. I have been working there for 2 weeks now. Everything is all right although there have been something slightly changed. When I was achild, I woke up late and my dad had to kick me out from my bed. In recent day, that's hard to happen. I start working at 8.00 am and finish at 5.00 pm from Mon.-Fri. I sometimes might have to go to upcountry on weekends to survey their propeties in other provinces as well. I'm not afraid to travel because I think it's some kind of experience I will never get if I only stay at office. For this reason, they allow me to take day off on weekday. But my dad isn't happy with this system. He said they should pay me extra for going to another place.Huhhh...In reality,It is impossible to get everything we want.I get annoyed whenever he keep saying about this topic but I tried to calm down since I know he has good intention and wants me to get the best thing. I still think that he prefers me being an engineer.

All right, I'm gonna back to work. speak later
bye

Hi I think the flood is a horrible experience. I live in central Europe and there have been floods, but not too often. But last 5 years there have been big floods almost every year. There weren´t a lot of death tolls, but the impact on lives of ordinary people was allways high. have a nice day

Hi,Chitissa! I am curious to understand if these floods are more frequent now than 20 years ago.I know that there is a cycle in nature. It means that floods alternate with droughts. But the situation has been changed recently. So do your parent or grandparent can remember such floods? By the way the story with Peter is very funny...Diema

Hi I found this blog accidentally, and I should say it is very interesting. I like your job hunting stories and that makes me thinking of my first time of seeking jobs after school. It was about seven years ago, I, as freshman sat in front of the recruitment fair in down town. I can still remember the place was full of people, but few of companies were hunting for worker. I was not well prepared myself. A crowd pushed me toward to a company, which I knew anything about it. I picked up a job as front desk staff as I was just fresh graduated. Without too much trouble, I was hired immediately. I didn’t find out the company was very successful in the world until I started my first day. At the beginning, I was totally impressed by the high-tech working environment and highly efficient management, which at that time was very few in China. I was not sure about all this meant to me. But slowly I found out that I acted as a very small part in a huge machine. Along with the development of the company, I was fortunately chose and trained to be an assistant to the general manager. After that I got other chances to be promoted which extent my career in this company for five years. During that time, I met a lot of fresh students looking for jobs and getting worried about their future. From my experience, I would like to say to the my friends who are having troubles of finding jobs, if you know what you are interested in, please go for it, you will be succeed as you are satisfying in what you are doing. For those who do not know their interest just like me before, please appreciate your present job even you might not very much like it. Be patient learn what you can and start plan your own career. Chances are there they might be from your own company or from outside, but they only favor to those who are well prepared.

This is my first time to see your blog, and I think you are really happy, hope your everything goes well.

Thanks for all your contributions. This blog has now closed and can no longer accept new comments.
