Morley: Roosters ready to rule

We are just one win away from the Grand Final thanks to our victory over defending champions Newcastle.

But it is the mighty Brisbane Broncos who stand between us and a trip to the Telstra Stadium on 6 October.

There is no reason why we cannot go on and win the whole competition now.

Allan Langer
Langer is just one of Brisbane's dangermen
We have proved in the last eight weeks or so that we can beat the best teams.

But Saturday's game will be our hardest yet.

Brisbane have got quality all over the park and have a monster pack that will take some stopping.

Allan Langer and Darren Lockyer will be two players in particular that we will need to keep a careful eye on.

But our defence has been the key to our success so far and it can come up trumps again at Aussie Stadium.

Anthony Minichiello's try-saving tackle on Sean Rudder in the win over the Knights was typical of the effort our players put in when it come to defending their own line.

I am tipping Cronulla to win the second Preliminary Final on Sunday

And he managed to catch Rudder just inches short of the line.

I was not on the park for the victory over Newcastle.

It looked like a lost cause but Anthony was never going to give up the chase.

Thanks to a one-match ban for tripping against Cronulla I was stuck in the stands.

And I hated it.

Anthony Minichiello
Minichiello's tackle typified our defensive effort
I am not the best spectator when my team is in action - especially when there is so much at stake like last weekend - so I was delighted we got through.

I relish the intensity of a big game, the chance to go head-to-head with the opposition.

So I am over the moon to be in action on Saturday.

I am tipping Cronulla to win the second Preliminary Final on Sunday.

We might have beaten them twice this season but they managed to beat an in-form St George-Illawarra in the last round.

The New Zealand Warriors have had a great season - and it should be a classic game at the Telstra Stadium - but I am backing the Sharks to win through.
