| Monday, 26 August, 2002, 17:16 GMT 18:16 UK L Orient 0-0 Kidderminster Leyton Orient and Kidderminster played out an untidy goalless draw in which neither goalkeeper was seriously troubled. Harriers, who conceded 14 of the 22 free-kicks awarded during a robust first half, also survived a seven-minute spell with 10 men while Scott Stamps was treated for a head injury. Orient defender Matt Lockwood offered the only serious threat when he forced Stuart Brock into a low save from his free-kick. Dave McGhee and Carl Hutchings failed to hit the target for the hosts when well-placed early in the second half, while Kidderminster managed their first shot on target in injury-time with keeper Rhys Evans tipping Drewe Broughton's shot around the post. Leyton Orient: Evans, Lockwood, Smith, McGhee, Harris, Brazier, Hutchings, Thorpe, Campbell-Ryce, Toner, Nugent. Subs: Joseph, Barrett, McLean, Martin, Fletcher. Kidderminster: Brock, Stamps, Smith, Ayres, Joy, Williams, Doyle, Flynn, Parrish, Broughton, Foster. Subs: Shilton, Henriksen, Danby, Ducros, Lewis. Referee: M Thorpe (Suffolk). |
