She is a fashion freak, always in the nicest clothes and her dream job would be to own a nice boutique. She is very conventional and expects men to be men and women to be women which stems from her traditional upbringing. Her parents are still together and very much in love. Caz always wanted that. The lovely house, a couple of kids and a rock solid marriage. The fairytale ending. Caz is fun, funny and a great friend, but sees life in black and white terms.
At work, Caz is known as being highly organised and slightly verging on being a control freak. She is the queen of the spreadsheet. Caz has always been a leader since she was little when she used to line up the neighbourhood kids and give them instructions on how to play. In some ways she is the polar opposite of Fletch but it seems to work for them.
Right after she finished university Caz decided to move to London with her ex-boyfriend. Things were going great until one day, out of the blue, he called time on their relationship. Caz was devastated. She had uprooted her life to be with him and now he was saying that he did not love her anymore. So she moved into a house share unable to face the embarrassment of moving back home after she had only just got there. A few months later she met Fletch on a night out. He was different to all the other guys that she had dated. He was funny, so laid back and he really put her at ease. To her surprise, it was not long until she fell for him and they decided to move in together. Caz couldn’t believe her luck!
The rose tinted glasses slipped on occasion when she realized how messy he was, how forgetful and how much she would have to take charge of running their household. But Caz didn’t mind because she loved Fletch and she could see that he appreciated all the things that she did for him.
Her new life in London was cut short when Fletch’s mum was diagnosed with a serious illness. When Fletch announced that his mum was moving back to Cardiff, Caz was more than happy to move there so they could take care of her. It was closer to her parents and she was done with the London life. She was ready to take their relationship to the next step.
So Fletch and Caz moved to Cardiff and they both started working at Coopers. Shortly after that, with much encouragement from Caz, Fletch proposed. They got married and bought a house. Caz was over the moon. She almost had the fairytale ending and the only thing that is missing is a baby.
Caz is in a really good place and although they have not managed to have a baby yet, she could not be happier. Yes, Fletch can be messy, forgetful and too laid back, but he is everything that she could have hoped for.
