Panic! At The Disco were all sorts of amazing in Radio 1's Live Lounge

If there's a better way to brighten a cold, miserable November Monday than a visit from Brendon Urie, then we're not sure what that is.
Panic! At The Disco dropped into Radio 1's Live Lounge today for a spectacular three-song session which took us way back into Panic!'s past and included a cover of one of the biggest hits in the world right now.
Every. Base. Covered.

But before the session, Brendon impressed us with bang-on impersonations of both Shaggy and Fetty Wap (spookily accurate TBH) and told Clara he hadn't slept after performing two live shows at London's Alexandra Palace.
"It was phenomenal," said Brendon.
"I got a little tired but I just kinda stayed up last night, I haven't really slept so I still feel energised. I'm still up."

Brendon also revealed how he has seen Panic's audience grow with the band at the same time as drawing new fans with every new album.
"There was a dad with his son on his shoulders," he said of the band's recent UK gigs.
"The son couldn't have been more than 7 or 8 years old and they both were singing every word. That was the coolest dad, taking his kid to the show.
"They were at both nights, I gave them a little shout out - 'I love you guys, you're awesome.'
"That's the coolest thing to me that fans have grown with us. I look out, I see familiar faces but I also see a younger crowd, just different people of different ages and all walks of life. It's just amazing."

Panic! performed their 2006 single I Write Sins, Not Tragedies (2006? Where's that 'old-face' emoji when you need it) and new single Hallelujah - along with a cover of The Weeknd and Daft Punk's current smash, Starboy.
He loves the song now, but Brendon admits it took a while for the song to click for him.
"When I first heard it, it was so different I didn't know if I 'got' it," he admitted.
"By the third listen, it was genius. I love The Weeknd. The first thing I heard of his was a cover of Dirty Diana by Michael Jackson.
"He's such a phenomenal performer and I’m a huge fan."

This was second time Panic! hung out with Radio 1 this year, having previously performed at Radio 1's Big Weekend in May. They were pretty special then, as well.

We should probably also mention that Brendon was the ULTIMATE gentleman, when he gave his amazing Beyoncé jumper to Clara after his Live Lounge performance.
He literally gave her the shirt off his back.
WHAT A GENT.
