MTV VMAs 2025 winners: Tyla, Lady Gaga and odas shine

South African Pop star Tyla don win di award for di Best Afrobeats award for di 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) for her hit single Push 2 Start. Dis win don further cement her place as one of Africa biggest global stars.

Di MTV VMA award wey dey mostly celebrate female artists hold for di UBS Arena for New York on Sunday, 7 September.

Di 23-year-old Grammy award winner beat Nigeria music stars wey include Burna Boy, Tems, Rema, Asake, Wizkid wey dey nominated for di category to win di award.

Although she secure di top Afrobeats honour, Tyla lose for di Best Choreography category wia her song Push 2 bin dey nominated.

Dis na di second time Tyla go win di award for di Best Afrobeats category, afta she win am for 2024 wit her hit track 'Water'.

However, na Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter carry di day as dem dey among di big winners for di awards.

Gaga collect four awards wey include artist of di year, for di event wey hold on Sunday night, 7 September, night. She beat Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Bad Bunny and Kendrick Lamar wey dey nominated for di category.

She bin dedicate di award to her fiancé Michael Polansky plus her fans aka di "Little Monsters".
