Yes, it is! पण तुला माहितीये अशा, हवा-पाण्याच्या, इकडच्या तिकडच्या गप्पांना काय म्हणतात? ‘small talk’. आज आपण ‘Small talks’ बद्दलच बोलणार आहोत. अनोळखी किंवा ज्यांची आपली ओळख जास्त नाहीये अशा लोकांशी बोलताना small talks’ उपयोगी पडतात. चला ऐकू.

Ok, so we both started with an adjective: 'lovely' or 'terrible'.

हो आणि 'lovely', 'terrible' किंवा आणखी कुठलही विशेषण वापरायचं झालं तर त्यानंतर 'day' किंवा  'weather' वापरयंचं. बस! हो न सॅम?

Yes, or you can add the simple question 'isn't it?' at the end. Let's practise the pronunciation of both of those. Please repeat after me.

आता दुसरी व्यक्ती काय म्हणतीये? ऐका.

इथे बस बद्दल बोलतायत.बसमध्ये नेहमीच गर्दी असते, त्या नेहमी 'crowded' असतात. याबद्दल बोलतानाही तुम्ही नेहमीसारखंच एखादं वाक्यं म्हणू शकता किंवा प्रश्नार्थक वाक्य!

Yes, here they used 'aren't they?' instead of 'isn't it?' because 'buses' are plural. So we use 'are' with 'buses' but with 'day' and 'weather' we use 'is'. Quick practice! Repeat after me:

They asked 'How are things?', which is similar to asking 'How is everything?' These are all quite informal ways of asking 'How are you?' and we use them with people we know a little bit, usually, not with people we don't know.
