Fearadh na fáilte! Is mise Conall Ó Máirtín. D’imir mé peil faoi aois le mo chontae, Tír Eoghain, agus imrím i lár na páirce le mo chlub áitiúil, an Eaglais, Naomh Pádraig. Tá mé sáite sa pheil Ghaelach.
Fáilte romhat! Is mise Bláithín Ní Mhurchú. Is peileadóir mé le mo chlub féin i gContae an Chabháin. Is grá liom an pheil Ghaelach. Má tá tú ag iarraidh pas fada a thabhairt, seo an dóigh is fearr agus an dóigh is éifeachtaí. Tá tú ábalta scóráil leis fosta.
Anois, seo muid leis an phas fhada!
Ar dtús, bain úsáid as do lámh dheas agus do chos dheas nó do lámh chlé agus do chos chlé.
Iontach tábhachtach anois, coinnigh do shúile ar an liathróid.
Lúb do ghlúin.
Sín amach do chos.
Méara coise thíos.
Agus ag an deireadh, ná déan dearmad, lig don liathróid titim ar na lásaí agus ciceáil díreach fríd.
Maith go leor? Díreach mar sin. Gabh ar aghaidh, leaids. Tabhair pas don duine eile. Is féidir leat seo a chleachtadh am ar bith i mbeirteanna, áit ar bith, níl mórán spáis de dhíth oraibh. Agus coinnigh an cloigeann in airde, a ghasraí! Sin é! Cos thíos, méara coise thíos nuair atá tú ag dul dó. Maith sibh, iontach maith. Bain úsáid as an dá chos – cos dheas, cos chlé. Maith thú! Anois, tá tú ábalta an druil seo a dhéanamh le triúr nó níos mó. Bainfidh muid triail as. Anois, a Bhláithín! Maith thú. Thall anseo, Simon! Maith thú!
You're very welcome! I'm Conall Martin. I played football under-age with my county, Tyrone, and I play in midfield for my local club, St. Patrick's, Eglish. I'm heavily involved in Gaelic football.
You're welcome! I'm Bláithín Murphy. I'm a footballer with my own club in County Cavan. I love Gaelic football. If you want to give a long pass, this is the best and most effective way. It is also used for scoring.
Now, here goes with the punt kick.
First off, use your right hand and your right foot or your left hand and your left foot.
Very important now, keep your eyes on the ball.
Bend your knee.
Extend your leg.
Toes down.
And finally, remember to drop the ball into laces and kick straight through.
Okay? Just like that. Away you go, lads. Pass to the other person. You can practise this any time in pairs, you don't need much space. And keep the head up, boys. That's it! Foot down, toes down when you are doing it. Well done, very good. Use both feet - right foot, left foot. Well done! Now, you can do this drill with three or more. We'll give it a go. Now, Bláithín! Well done. Over here, Simon! Good on you!
