Celebrating 40 years of the Timelords in the Rogues Gallery

Known as Omega
Omega was one of the Time Lords' founding fathers and indeed, was hailed by some as 'the first Time Lord'. A stellar engineer whose breakthroughs provided the power source which made mastery over time possible, his people believed he was killed whilst carrying out his work and venerated his name for centuries. But Omega survived, cut off from our universe in an anti-matter world which seemed inescapable.
Years of solitude took their toll and by the time he encountered the Doctor he was saying things like, 'I should have been a god!' and planning to take his revenge on the Time Lords, whom he believed abandoned him. Although defeated by the Doctor he later returned and threatened the whole of reality. Again he was outwitted and apparently killed - a sad and dismal demise for a figure once so revered amongst his fellow Time Lords.
Omega featured in The Three Doctors and Arc of Infinity and is discussed at length in Remembrance of the Daleks.
