#4, #17 & #27 -Due to the cooler wet weather this summer, the grass has continued to grow and flower over a longer period. My hayfever is normally bad May/June (when grass pollen is at its highest levels), but I've been suffering on and off all summer. I have to keep an eye out on our pony, as the grass which is normally dry and slow growing in August, is still quite verdant. Not good for him to eat too much. He's looking a bit 'Thelwellish' at the mo and I am a little concerned about his carbon hoof print! It sounds as if we have a poorly tuned tuba in the field!

Today is an important day for my daughter - she's starting work experience at the HO of the shop she works at in the holidays, in their marketing department. So she will be a commuter for the next couple of weeks. Should be good experience for her - next year as part of her Uni course she has to spend a year in industry, so it's a taste of things to come.



Thanks for the nice comments about my photos yesterday. As I have said before, I am no great photographer, but I want to get better at it so any positive feedback is very encouraging!

The one with the same initials as the presenter of the Big Show - another group is starting up in our area and I think I may give it a go. I have been before, with great success, but since becoming 'challenged', mobility wise, a lot of weight has gone on again and I really feel uncomfortable so it could be back to the Muller Light yogs (other low fat........ etc etc) and corned beef quiches!

Andy, because of his experience of such occasions, agreed to do the honours in Fb to pull it all together. I'm not involved in any way, was never going to be part of it. etc etc. so haven't a clue how it's progressing - hence my yesterday post #118.

10 years older M-in-law has been pretty housebound with 3 hip ops, falls, breaks, various medical calamities etc in the 8 years I've known her.

I think I'd like to go via a one-way ticket to Beachy Head rather than fade away with or without my (limited) brain power.

Commiserations to all those hay fever sufferers out there - I used to get hay fever every year and hated it. I wore contact lenses back then too, which meant eye irritation was doubly bad.

I agree that updates on what's going on should be kept on the FB thread. But there's no reason not to mention it here in passing from time to time - if for no other reason that there's always the possibility that folks who haven't been around for whatever reason (or like me don't always pay attention!) might have missed that there is a blogmeet and would otherwise not get to hear about it.

Just nipping in to say a massive THANK YOU for my birthday wishes. Apologies for disappearing so suddenly on Friday but I was texted instructions by that NicRolastic fella, which basically meant going to a local(ish) hotel, checking in, donning a fluffy white robe and enjoying their spa facilities for the afternoon before being treated to dinner in their stunning restaurant on Friday night and a romantic overnight stay.



The same NicRolastic also got me Simon's "Confessions" book as part of my prezzies, which I am looking forward to reading immenseley.
