I once wrote a blog about how we wish time away, I took the title from the Van Morrison song 'Precious Time Is Slipping Away', because if people are only living for the weekend, that's 5 days out of 7 that they're writing off! And life is way too short to do that, we should try to make the best we can of every single day. We have recently had to face the prospect of losing another dear family member to cancer, and when I think what he would give to have more time, I think it would be next to a crime to wish what I have away.

It has been very dull and grey here, weather-wise, and pretty much otherwise too :/ But I did some writing, after another exasperating meeting r.e the twins, so all was not lost.



I expect it will be pandemonium soon, when the twins get home from their last day at school before the holidays. I suspect I will be breaking my earlier vow, about not wishing time away, to hope that the next five and a bit weeks fly by.

Did the canal from Edinburgh to Glasgow a few years ago (18 peoples on 3 boats!!) Went on the Falkirk Wheel. Breathtakingly Brilliant!! AND it didn't rain all week!

Spent a bit of time in Scotland last week end , well if you count the hour and a half on the A74 from Gretna to Stranraer on friday and then the return on sunday as a bit of time. I must am always amazed how wonderful that part of the world is.



Also as i spent a bit of time in both Belfast and Londonderry / Derry over the weekend and i would recommend that part of the world to anyone . And no I do not work for either the Irish or Scottish tourist boards
