Good ARFternoon Each! Just ambled by to post the 'apposite' message I was going to put up earlier, afore I got distracted. It is, in fact a cautionary warning, hoping to enable all blogpoppets to enjoy the evenings festivities in a safe and secure environment.



We all know about 'The Firework Code', but we should also be aware of 'The Conflagration Canon'(I just made that up) with regard the safe enjoyment of the bonfire.



It chiefly concerns the initial ignition of the said pyre, and the timing thereof. Now, you dont want to be setting your bonfire aflame whilst the full light of day holds sway. This would,of course, be the safest time of all to carry out the task, but would reduce the visual impact of the bonfire. Neither should you wait for full darkness to fall, as in this circumstance, all manner of calamities could ensue, due to the lack of any clarity in visibility. There fore, the obvious conclusion to draw, would be that the best time to embark upon the evenings festivities would be...

Hello Simon, What a week you have had! You have had so many well established talented people on and it has, as ever, been a pleasure listening to you.



As I am new to this board I feel obliged to suggest something new for your first track this evening. Have a listen to "Fashion Photographer" or "Now That We've Made Up" by Southgate & Leigh. These are the current favourites of Jasmine who is four and a half and who sang about a big ship for you on the last day of September.



I shouldn't think they will be on the Radio 2 playlist yet so I don't think you will play them - but go on - I dare you!!!
