It's a Wah Wah Wednesday!
To the Costa book awards last night have realised I need to read more poetry. Or some poetry even. Gary Kemp, Carolyn Quentin and Penny Smith all told me how fantastic the winning book was. They all cried apparently. Anyway the book is "A Scattering" by Christopher Reid. I have it and will give it a go.
Now. yesterdays suggestion of a Wah Wah Wednesday instantly sounded like a fine idea. So thanks to Andy for thinking of it. Now you just have to suggest some hits to start the show. I've no idea how many there are but trust you all to find them...
Plus if you'd like to play "Pontunes" on the show or have a burning homework question you need an answer to then contact us.

Simon you have to play or choos "We used to know" by Jethro Tull or "White Room" by the Cream with a superb Clapton Wah Wah solo or "I ain't superstitious" the Jeff Beck group. Great show and you are attracting a fantastic blogging community.

2nd single ever bought was "Black is Black" by Los Bravos. I was on a steep learning curve. First album, quite oddly was "It's All About" by Spooky Tooth. I would have been about 10, and I loved it. I found it in the reduced bin in Dixons in Derby. (Not the Dixons you are thinking of, this was a record shop in The Strand Arcade.)

Anyway, delighted to support Elbow's "The Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver" as another song (apart from Two Little Boys) which has reduced me to blubberosity - what IS it about that key shift at around 3 minutes 40 seconds that makes you tingle all over? Over to you Rev, cos I reckon it's our souls igniting (nice Supper's Ready link there for those in the know)....
