Bob Tway will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, after shooting a four-under-par 68 on Saturday.
The 1989 winner and former PGA champion has struggled in recent years and has not won on the PGA Tour since capturing the MCI Classic in 1995.
But Tway, who was the first-round leader, produced a bogey-free 18 holes at the Muirfield Village Golf Club and collected four birdies along the way.
Tway finished at 12-under-par on 204, one shot ahead of Stewart Cink.
