Forest Green Rovers have sacked manager Nigel Spink following their 2-0 home Conference defeat by Chester.

Rovers are bottom of the table with no points, and have scored only one goal in their five games.

Chairman Trevor Horsley told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "Our decision goes back to last season.

"We've won only two of our last 15 League games, and that's relegation form.

"A new man needs to sort it out, and needs the time to do so."
