Scarborough 1-1 Woking

Keith Scott's dramatic stoppage-time equaliser earned Scarborough a point and knocked early-season leaders Woking off the top of the table.

The visitors' stunning start to the campaign had looked set to continue when Jon Brady put them ahead midway through the second half.

But Geoff Chapple's side played the last 20 minutes with 10 men after Anthony Allman had been sent off for a professional foul, and the home side made them pay.

Woking started brightly with Jonathan Boardman forcing an early save from Andy Woods.

Scarborough striker Scott headed tamely wide from six yards in the 21st minute with their first effort of the game, and five minutes later Karl Rose sent a header straight at goalkeeper Stephen Farrelly as the home side hit back.

Brady, signed from Rushden in the summer, went close just after the restart before he was rewarded for a busy display with the opening goal in the 64th minute.

Abbey flashed the ball across the area for the midfielder to slam home.

The lead looked under threat soon afterwards when Allman was dismissed and Paul Sheppherd almost made them pay instantly when his fierce free-kick had to be clawed away by Farrelly.

But just when it looked as though Woking would retain their place at the Conference summit, Scott rose highest to head home Ormerod's cross.

Scarborough: Woods, Hotte, Rennison, Dryden, Sheppherd, Stoker, Pounder, Brassart, Ormerod, Scott, Rose. Subs: Walker, O'Riordan, Jordan, Henderson, Campbell.

Woking: Farrelly, Piper, Boardman, Sandford, Anthony Allman, Brady, Moore, Kember, Paul Steele, Patmore, Abbey. Subs: Tucker, Smith, Sharpling, Payne, Hollingdale.

Referee: N Bannister (Goole).
