| Saturday, 31 August, 2002, 16:57 GMT 17:57 UK Telford 0-2 Burton Christian Moore and Dale Anderson scored as Burton Albion beat Telford on their first ever visit to Bucks Head. Moore opened the scoring in the 26th minute, before injury forced him off shortly into the second half. But his replacement, Anderson, scored with eight minutes remaining to secure three points - and leave Telford still seeking their first win of the season. Former England winger Andy Sinton made his presence felt for Albion early on with several threatening crosses. But it was Moore who produced a brilliant opening goal midway through the first half. The Brewers midfielder found himself in space and curled a right-foot shot into the top corner of the net from the edge of the penalty area. Player-boss Clough nearly doubled the visitors' lead when his 20-yard volley flashed past the post. But it was substitute Anderson who made it 2-0 to the visitors thanks to a fierce shot from 18 yards after he was set up by Darren Stride.
