| Saturday, 5 October, 2002, 17:49 GMT 18:49 UK Cambridge 2-2 Wrexham Wrexham scored a late equaliser to salvage a point against Cambridge at the Abbey Stadium. A tremendous 25-yard shot by Jim Whitley had put Wrexham in front during a first half they dominated. But Tom Youngs took advantage of a poor defensive pass to equalise. The, almost immediately, Omer Riza beat substitute goalkeeper Paul Whitfield to a long ball to put the hosts in front. Wrexham had lost experienced stopper Andy Dibble to injury along with defender Dennis Lawrence. But the Dragons fully deserved their late equaliser. Defender Craig Morgan rose to head the ball home at the near post following Paul Barrett's dangerous inswinging corner from the left.
