The move comes after their fans were allegedly subjected to racial abuse during the 2-2 draw at the City Ground on Saturday.

More than 4,000 Foxes fans made the trip to Nottingham and during the game a small minority of Forest fans in the A block of the main stand hurled abuse at them.

After the game, fans flooded radio stations to give their accounts of the racial chanting they were subjected to.

Now the club and FAR are urging supporters to get in touch with them so they can strengthen their case.

"It is true that because some City rivals know of Leicester's reputation for anti-racism, they might try to use racial abuse to antagonise City fans," FAR chairman John Williams told the club's website.

"I'm afraid that's the price you sometimes have to pay for leading the way. We want to try to encourage other clubs and the football authorities to follow the Leicester route.

"We need City fans to help us by writing to FAR or the club about their experiences at Forest."

"We feel we have a duty to support our fans because of the stance we have tried to take here on racism," said Leicester club secretary Andrew Neville.

"It is of little use putting our own house in order if our own fans are then abused at other clubs.

"If supporters write to the club, or to FAR, we will certainly use their accounts to make our case to Nottingham Forest and to the Football League."
