Bacchas A were crowned Men's Premier Division champions on Saturday with a 5-2 victory over Bacchas B maintaining their unbeaten record this season. Goals from Andy Bridson, Will Wood, Sean Corlett and two from Jonny Callow proved enough for Bacchas A. The Tromode side have scored ninety goals in eleven games this season with 3 games still to play. At the other end of the table Saracens were relegated to Division One after a narrow 4-3 defeat by Castletown. Elsewhere honours ended even between Harlequins and Vikings B. Adam Hussey and Peter Foxton found the net for Harlequins while Richard Gelder and Phil Clague scored for Vikings to make it 2-2. In the Women's Premier Division, Vikings A moved a step closer towards retaining their Premiership title with a 7-1 victory over Castletown A. Following a goalless first half Kim Carney hit five goals with Katie Errock and Marie Goosen adding further strikes. Valkyrs A kept their title hopes alive with a 4-2 victory over Bacchas A moving them 3 points behind Vikings, while Valkyrs B continued their good run of form with a 2-0 victory over Bacchas B. Ramsey secured a 2-0 victory over Castletown B, who remain firmly rooted to the bottom of the table and are yet to pick up a point this season. Elsewhere, two Manx teams were in action on Sunday in the third round of the England Men's Hockey Vase competition. Vikings A suffered a last minute defeat to Cheshire based side Bramhall who snatched a 3-2 victory. Valkyrs A also failed to progress further in the competition losing 2-1 to Marton Furness at Middlesbrough.
