Valkyrs A were crowned Mixed Premier League champions on Saturday after Falcons beat Bacchas A 5-2 in one of the closest title races in years.

Bacchas led 2-1 at half-time and looked set to retain their title, with Louise Corkill and Andy Bridson on target.

However, a Neil Crowe double and goals from Connor Byrne, Danni Coombes and Kim Carney gave Falcons the win.

The result sees Falcons collect second spot and a bitterly disappointed Bacchas having to settle for third.
