No shocks in Isle of Man FA Cup

Football

Ramsey Youth Centre went closest but there were no shocks as the Isle of Man FA Cup kicked off on Saturday.

The Second Division side pushed Union Mills all the way at Garey Mooar but the top flight side went through 2-1.

Ramsey's Mark Grotty cancelled off a Michael Nash header before a late Sam Cain strike put the Millers in the draw for the next round.

Elsewhere, Old Boys saw off Douglas and District 9-1, having led 7-0 at the break in a one-sided contest.

St George's progressed at the expense of Douglas Royal with a 4-0 win at Noble's Park.

Michael won the all-Premier League tie against Corinthians, 4-2 at Balleira Road, whilst Ayre United beat Police 5-0.

Meanwhile, Pulrose beat Braddan 4-1, Laxey eased past Ronaldsway 5-1 and St John's cruised past Northern Athletic 7-1 at Mullen-e-Cloie.
