 Kneen finished runner-up in this year's British Supersport Cup
Manx TT rider Dan Kneen finished 14th on his debut at the Macau Grand Prix on Saturday, with Scotland's Stuart Easton winning his third consecutive title. Starting from 21st on the grid the 23-year-old Kneen gave a spirited ride to gain seven places. Easton won the race by approaching 11 seconds seconds after a race-long battle with the six time champion Michael Rutter. American Jeremy Toye finished third, a further 13 seconds in arrears. Including Rutter and Toye, there were seven TT riders in the top ten for the nine lap race. Gary Johnson finished 5th, John McGuinness 6th, Cameron Donald 8th, James McBride 9th and Keith Amor 10th. The race was also the final round of the 2010 Duke Road Race Rankings. Easton's win propelled him up 47 places in the final standings to 55th. Northern Ireland's Ryan Farquhar, who did not compete in Macau, topped the series for a third consecutive year, an achievement that will see him keep the Geoff Duke trophy. The Dungannon racer achieved 57 race wins in 2010, setting an incredible 19 lap records along the way. "To keep the trophy will be a tremendous honour. It's been a really good season for me and to do it with my own team is even better." The 34-year-old claimed two second places at the TT and four wins at the Southern 100. William Dunlop finished 2,275 points down on Farquhar with brother Michael third. Castletown's Chris Palmer was the Island's highest ranked rider in seventh. Allan Brew finished 11th, Dan Kneen 41st, Chris McGahan 44th, Dave Madsen- Mygdal 58th, Conor Cummins 59th, Si Fulton 65th, Tim Venables 78th and Dan Sayle 83rd.
