Kneen finished five points behind Patrick McDougall in the standings |
Manx racer Dan Kneen has finished runner-up to Patrick McDougall in the British Supersport Cup. Kneen started the final round just two points behind the leader, but was blighted by mechanical problems throughout the weekend. "I had problems in qualifying and started from 33rd. I had managed to catch Pat when I broke down again - it was so frustrating," he said. Kneen eventually finished the race in eighth with Luke Mossey taking the win. The result means the 23-year-old finished five points behind McDougall in the overall standings. Kneen, who is from Braddan, will now look towards making his debut at the Macau GP which takes place November 18-21. He will also represent the Isle of Man team at the Celtic Match Races at Jurby Airfield on October 23 and 24.
