Tom Skillicorn wins Brookdale downhill

Tom Skillicorn won the fifth round of the Manx Mountain Bike Club's Downhill Series at Brookdale on Sunday.

Skillicorn completed the fast-flowing course an a time of two minutes, 29.306 seconds, just one tenth of a second ahead of second-placed Andy Kipling.

Gareth Fargher won the masters class by three seconds from James Coates, with Lee Marshall third.

Newcomer Jamie Mccanney won the junior class by over 10 seconds.

The trials rider posted a time of 2:36.36, which would have placed him third overall.

Mark Turner finished second, with Matthew Kermeen completing the top three.
