Livi hope for repeat showing
Livi's Davide Xausa
Davide Xausa will be relied upon for goals
Livingston surprised everyone last season by finishing a remarkable third in their first season in the top flight.

Under the talismanic leadership of Jim Leishman, with no little help from Davie Hay, the Livi Lions began the season well and by Christmas were clear favourites for third place.

Although their form dropped off slightly towards the end of the season, Livi held on to book their place in the Uefa Cup for the first time in their short history.

Top signing: Eugene Dadi
Emulating that success will be a difficult task for the West Lothian side, particularly after the sale of David Fernandez to Celtic.

But they did manage to hold onto influential midfielder Francisco Quino, as well as bringing in more lesser-known talent from abroad to strengthen their squad.

The one big name signing was that of Sergio Berti, the former Argentina international midfielder, but he was sacked by the club for spitting at a teammate before he could start a competitive game.

Livi's main problem could be scoring goals, although Eugene Dadi has come in from Aberdeen.

But Livi have little to fear in the SPL and will be looking to consolidate after last season's exploits.
