The out-of-favour West Ham player saw a loan move to the current SPL leaders collapse after failing to beat January's transfer window deadline. Ibrox boss Alex McLeish was understood to be keen to take the 31-year-old on loan for the rest of the season. Hutchison was disappointed when thing's didn't materialise but he is hoping that McLeish will renew his interest at the end of the current campaign.
Hutchison told The Scottish Daily Express newspaper: "The Rangers thing came up because I had said that I wanted to go out on loan because I wasn't going to get a regular game with West Ham. "It didn't happen so now I have to concentrate on getting back in the West Ham team. "I have made it clear if I don't get back in the team before the summer I will consider my options." Hutchison made his international comeback in last week's 2-0 Hampden defeat by the Republic of Ireland but looked short of match fitness. And he added: "I need to be playing if Iwant to stay in the Scotland set-up and if Rangers were to come back in for me then it is something I would seriously consider because they are a massive club. "They are the only club in Scotland I would consider playing for." |
