The financial situation at Stafford Rangers is steadily improving, according to chairman John Downing.
The Blue Square North club were on the verge of administration in December and were forced to release several players, as well as their manager Steve Bull.
The rest of the squad were asked to defer some of their wages but Downing told BBC Radio Stoke that the club were now looking increasingly more solvent.
"It's looking healthier now and we can keep the club afloat," he said.
"It's no secret to the country that there's a recession on and it obviously brings in less funds in terms of gate money and sponsorship, so you have to cut you cloth accordingly.
"We've got some players that are on reduced wages for a while and others that have just accepted a reduced wage."
Rangers were beaten 1-0 by Stalybridge on Saturday, leaving them 14th in the table, 10 points above the relegation zone.
