Stafford Rangers are in serious financial difficulty and are close to slipping into administration, reports BBC Radio Stoke.

It is understood that the Blue Square North club's directors have been forced to subsidise the club in recent months.

Manager Steve Bull has reportedly been asked to take a pay cut, while his players have been told they are free to look for another club.

Stafford, eighth in the league, are due to face Vauxhall Motors on Saturday.
