Chainey has been appointed assistant coach behind Champion
Belgrave Wanderers have appointed Ian Champion as their new first-team coach and former captain Leighton Chainey as his assistant.
Previous coach Micky Ogier stood down at the end of last season, the same time that Chainey left the side.
Champion told the BBC Guernsey: "I'm looking forward to working in such a well managed, forward looking, growing club with a lot talented players.
"It promises to be a very competitive year in Guernsey football."
He added: "I am absolutely delighted and honoured at my appointment. The challenge to follow Budlo's [Ogier's] amazing years in charge is quite daunting."
Bels' President Hilary Sarre said: "We are delighted to have secured the services of an experienced and respected coach in Ian and equally delighted that Leighton has agreed to assist him.
"These appointments will give our squad a fresh challenge whilst providing continuity within our set up."
