Jersey Ladies held off their Guernsey rivals to win 1-0 in Monday's 2009 Ladies Muratti at The Track.
The only goal of the Inter-Insular came 32 minutes in when Lisa McLaughlin's 25-yard shot dipped over Guernsey keeper Kayleigh Marquis into the net.
Jersey captain Jodie Botterill told BBC Sport: "We created a lot of chances but they worked us right until the end."
"They gave 150 per cent. I couldn't ask for any more from them," said Guernsey manager Paul Mooney.
"It's disappointing for the team. The ball wouldn't go in the net for us today but they tried right to the end."
Jersey skipper Botterill also handed out praise for the rival keeper, player of the match Marquis.
"She played really well," said Botterill. "Her catching from crosses, her saves from shots were brilliant."
