An early goal from Jersey's Stuart Andre gave the Caesareans victory over Guernsey in Sunday's Muratti Vase Final at The Track, in Guernsey, on Sunday.

The winner, scored just ten minutes into the match, came after Guernsey failed to clear their lines and Andre's cross-shot fired past Jody Bisson.

Andre is also the Jersey captain and he told the BBC: "I thought first half we created the better chances.

"Second half was a bit of an onslaught really and we were hanging on."

"There was a great feeling when the final whistle went," he added.

Guernsey captain Matt Warren said, "It's very disappointing, as a squad we've worked hard and to see us lose 1-0... it obviously wasn't our day."
