Trinity moved three points clear at the top of Jersey's Premiership after beating title rivals Jersey Scottish 1-0 on Saturday at the Riley Field.
Trinity, who played much of the match with 10 men after Barry Beatson was sent off, scored the only goal through Marc Reid in the 85th minute.
Reid latched onto a long ball out of defence, as Scottish piled on the pressure, to run through and score.
Scottish drop to third place after rivals St Paul's won 5-0 at Wanderers.
"It just shows the commitment and the character of them, we knew we had to dig in," Trinity manager Joe Morley told BBC Radio Jersey.
And while Morley feels the title race is more than just a two-horse race between his side and St Paul, Scottish manager Pat Brennan did not agree.
"A draw was no good to us, if we didn't score today it was no consequence, we had to win the game today," he said.
"It's definitely Trinity and St Paul's - we just have to forget about the league, we're in two cups and we have to concentrated on the cups."

Island captain Stuart Andre scored two while Scott Devlin, JP Martyn and Mark Lucas all got one each.
It means there is now huge pressure on the match between Trinity and St Paul's at the Riley Field on Saturday, 28 February.
A win for the parish side, coupled with victory next week over St Ouen, would see them six points clear at the top with four winnable games to go.
At the bottom Rozel Rovers and Sporting Academics are looking more likely to be the teams heading into the Championship after they both lost again.
Bottom-of-the-table Accies went down 5-3 at Grouville, while second-bottom Rovers lost 1-0 at home to St Ouen.
