Monday night's friendly between Jersey and a side from English Championship club Southampton has been postponed.
The pitch at St Helier's Springfield Stadium has been waterlogged.
"Both goalmouthes in particular are flooded. Everyone's disappointed," island manager Dave Kennedy told BBC Jersey on Monday.
The Jersey FA and Southampton have yet to set a date for the match to be replayed, although both sides are keen to meet some time during April.
"From our point of view it would be a good match to fit in just before the Muratti in May," Kennedy added.
"It'll be a tough game but it'd be good to have match of that calibre before the Muratti."
Jersey fans were hoping to see former island player and Southampton youngster Jack Boyle return to home turf.
Saints chairman Michael Wilde, who lives in the island, is a major sponsor of the Jersey FA.
