Boyle signed for Saints in November after impressing their chairman

Jersey will play a friendly match against Championship side Southampton next month.

The game, which is being played at Springfield Stadium on 9 February, has been organised by Saints chairman and island resident Michael Wilde.

Wilde is the main sponsor of the Jersey FA and helped with the signing of former Jersey player Jack Boyle to the south-coast club.

Boyle is expected to feature in the game against his former team-mates.

The club's coaches will also be offering training sessions to young island players during the trip.
